About this ebook
Sometimes a secret goes to the grave. Sometimes Secret puts you there.
It’s been a hell of a year for Secret McQueen, and the last thing in the world she wants is to get caught up in werewolf drama. But when her former fiancé Lucas Rain shows up asking for her help, she knows there’s no easy way out.
After making it known she wants nothing to do with him, Secret agrees to help find Lucas’s wayward sister Kellen. After all, how much trouble could one socialite get into in the city that never sleeps?
Unless that socialite has been spirited away by fairies.
Trying to track down a missing girl in an alternate reality is just the start of Secret’s problems, though. Someone appears to be killing teenagers, and the MO looks eerily similar to something for which the half-fairy oracle, Calliope, might be responsible. Throw in a rogue wolf pack claiming allegiance to Secret’s mother, Mercy, and she’ll have miles to go before she rests.
Warning: This book contains a promise fulfilled, sex that’s out of this world, and more heartache than one hybrid assassin can handle.
This book was previously released by Samhain Publishing.
The new edition contains minor word changes but no story changes.

Reviews for Grave Secret

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The last book ended with such a cliffie...of the passionate kind. I could not wait to see where it lead. Not to mention that Sierra was devastated after Lucas being a total ass and not showing up to their wedding. There was drama to be told and I needed to know.
Sierra was a bit messed up but was doing better. Des was nowhere to be found (still Team Des!) and Holden, well I will not tell you whatever happened in the beginning. Whether I am Team Holden or not, well, no not really. I just do not feel him. Can't be that team then. But trust me, not team Lucas at least, and that leaves Des. He is just such a good beta and I want to hug him.
Away from the teams. This book gives us fairies, murder and a twist that kept me reading and reading. Then I cursed our tiny flat as I could not continue to read, but I did wake up earlier the next day so that I could finish this book. And the end, oh she is evil. She leaves such an opening for more and I know the next book will be filled with action. I can't wait to read it.
The romance will not get resolved in this one, I do wonder how she will play it at the end. I am just so curious and want to know, like right now. This is an author that makes you want more.
This is a great series that I recommend to everyone. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Grave Secret is the fifth book in the Secret McQueen series by Sierra Dean.
Grave Secret starts days after the events in Keeping Secret (book 4). After being abandoned at the altar by Lucas Secret is trying to come to terms with her feelings; being publicly humiliated is not easy to digest especially for a girl like Secret; for her, Lucas' decision means their relationship is over, she doesn’t care that they were married by werewolves rites.
Secret is trying to avoid Lucas at all cost but thanks to their connection he can locate her wherever she is. After trying to reach her he decides to look for her; his sister Kellen has disappeared and he’s losing his mind with worry. Secret accepts to help him look for Kellen, for Kellen’s sake not his.
What Secret wasn’t expecting was to learn that Kellen was in Fairy. To get to Fairy Secret needs Calliope’s help, the only problem is that Calliope is a suspect in a murder Secret is investigating, but without any other option Secret goes to Calliope for help.
Things in Fairy are worse than Secret was expecting, the Fairy king, Aubrey, no only likes to play games and push people’s buttons, but is also a master at doing bargains, something Secret learns a bit too late.
Secret is back from Fairy and trying to live with the consequences of her actions, her life is upside down to say the least, and to add to her current dilemma her mother is back in the picture, and Secret’s mother is not the nurturing kind but more like I want to make you bleed until you die kind.
The only good thing right now in Secret’s life is that Desmond and Holden have her back; the problem is they also want her on her back.
I discovered Secret McQueen series over a year ago and it was love at first read. I read (devoured) the two novellas and first and second book in two days; I found them so addictive that it was impossible for me to put them down, since then this series has become one of my top 5 favorite series, one that makes me mark my calendar with the dates of next releases (I don’t do that with many). I have even bullied some friends into reading these books, and now, like me, they also worship every word Mrs. Dean writes.
In Grave Secret Secret is the same Secret we love, the caring kick ass heroine that will go the extra mile for those she cares. She knows sometimes the price is too high but she is willing to pay it to keep her love ones safe. In this installment she is also healing her broken heart and trying to cope with her new found feelings towards Holden.
Desmond is more in the picture in this book than what he was in Keeping Secret. He continues to love Secret deeply and proves it day after day.
Holden, oh! Sweet, delicious, dreamy, Holden. I loved him in previous books and loved him even more after reading this one. He bared his heart to Secret and was so honest about his feelings and his intentions that there was nothing else for me to do but to love him even more. As with Desmond he is there, by Secret side every time she needs him.
Secret and Holden’s relationship went a step further in this installment. Mrs. Dean gave us some scenes that were so hot I almost needed a shower afterwards.
I used to like Lucas, but lately his actions are making me dislike him so much that I want him out of the picture. His actions are so full of cowardice and stupidity that I don’t know if to pity him or hate him. Only time will tell if he finds his backbone again and becomes the man the wolves need.
Grave Secret is action packed and with so many twists and turns that will keep you glued to the pages and on the edge of your seat, Grave Secret won’t let you go until you reach that last word, but the trip to that last word won’t be an easy one, it will be one roller coaster of emotions that will leave you spent and dying for more.
Every time I finish a Secret McQueen book I think it’s impossible for Mrs. Dean to write a better book and every new release she makes me eat my thoughts. This was also the case with Grave Secret. After the absolutely amazing book that was Keeping Secret I couldn’t imagine a way for Mrs. Dean to write a book as good or better than that one, but I was wrong, as she has done it before, she did it again with Grave Secret, and I’m sure she will do it again with the next installment, Secret Unleashed (October 2013). - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Reviewed by: Rabid ReadsMy favourite heroine is back at it and is once again biting off more than she can chew. To my delight she handles it all in true Secret McQueen fashion; by running her mouth and delivering some of the best one-liners of her Urban Fantasy career. There’s no shortage of action or romance in this book and more wow moments than I care to count.Even after everything the werewolf king has done to her, Secret still has trouble refusing Lucas. What starts out as a simple search for a missing socialite quickly morphs into a fiasco of epic proportions. Secret’s biggest wish has unexpectedly come true but unfortunately for her she can’t even enjoy it thanks to the slew of baddies who are trying to rain on her parade. McQueen finds herself forced to rely on her men-du-jour for protection instead of her sword and needless to say, the role of victim does not suit her.I loved Secret in this installment because for the first time in a long time she’s vulnerable. It was refreshing to see the big bad werewolf queen / vampire council leader / assassin sweat a little. Of course, instead of going into hiding because of her weakened state, McQueen’s backup defense is laying her trademark sarcasm on extra thick. I adore Sierra Dean’s sense of humour and Grave Secret is milk-out-your-nose funny.Move over Lucas Rain and h-e-l-l-o Holden! Just when I thought nothing could sway me from team Desmond, the vampire steps up to the plate and takes a swing. Both men have so many amazing moments in this book that I now find myself loving them equally. I don’t envy the choice that Secret has to make; if it were up to me, I’d keep them both! She is a hybrid after all, so it makes sense that she needs a werewolf AND a vampire lover, right? I’m just saying.Grave Secret will make you swoon, cry, rage, laugh and finally leave you with a big “oh shit” at the end.
