    The Collective - Khali Raymond

    Never Too Late

You say you can’t take back what you’ve done.

You tell me it can’t be done.

You tell me you don’t want to do this anymore.

You tell me you want to give up.

You tell me all this shit from the

    high life stresses you out…

    I can understand the

    anguish you’re suffering from

I can see the rain you’re drenched in

I wish I could take it all away.

Just know that if nobody cared

    I did…

    Although we ain’t talk much.

    Take Care

I see the look in your eyes when you mention him.

I take note to the emotions taking you over.

You tell me how much he had you gassed up.

You tell me how much he used to do for you.

Now, he does the same thing to ten other girls.

I couldn’t blame you for falling into his trap.

Love can trick you into doing risky things.

Wanting to have someone there can

set you up for some crazy shit.

It hurts when someone you love hurts you.

They promised to never cross you

They promised to stick by your side,

    Turns out they lied.

I wish you could let me fix your pain.

    Come on, come on—

    let me take your hand.

I’ll love you like he never did.

I’ll treat you like the queen you are.

I’ll take care of you, you’ll take care of me

I never had someone there for me.

    I’ll take care of us

Because all we got in this world is us.

    Fire Rain

    Desire burns deep.

    Feelings become weak.

    Still standing, still running.

Getting away from the Fire Rain.

When it touches your skin, that shit burns.

When it hits the pavement, it melts heavily.

I’m trying to find a way to numb the misery.

    Despite smoking weed,

    I still feel the anguish.

This Fire Rain doesn’t play games.

    It’s my birthday.

    I’m still getting lifted.
