Thanks to Rhonda, J.P., and Mags for making the words pretty, AngstyG for making the cover pretty, and Nathan for making the inside pretty. Also thanks to William for tips and suggestions that saved me lots of time and headaches.

And thank you to the readers who have made this endeavor worthwhile!

C’mon, ladies! We’re not done yet!

Adrienne Michaels groaned and followed the bride-to-be back toward the party bus for another stop on their bar hop. As maid of honor to Lacy Adams, her best friend since they were college roommates, Adrienne had the bachelorette-night task of staying sober enough to be sure all the bills got paid and no one got left behind.

What else are best friends for?

She counted off the nine heads as they boarded the bus and then took up the rear of the line, settling into the end of the cushioned seat just behind the driver. At least Lacy had spared no expense for their transportation. The shuttle bus seated up to eighteen, so they had plenty of space, and while it was bring-your-own-bottle, alcohol could flow as freely as they liked, which helped keep the bar bills down. It also allowed Adrienne to bring her own bottles of the hard cider she liked but that no bar ever seemed to stock.

    Give us a dance, Lace!

Adrienne had to laugh and shake her head as the thoroughly inebriated Lacy stood on wobbling legs and grabbed the pole in the center of the bus. Adrienne’s eyes had popped out when she saw that feature listed on the website for the bus service, but Lacy had waved it off as no big deal. They all have one now, she’d said, and hey, it was her party.

Now, as she watched Lacy wrap one leg around the pole and shimmy her shoulders, her breasts swaying and her cheesy I’M THE BRIDE tiara tilted off to one, Adrienne gave a rueful smile, figuring that this had been what Lacy had in mind all along.

The bus jerked into motion, almost tossing Lacy off the pole, but she just laughed the laugh of the happy drunk and took another spin. When she lost her balance, she tumbled into the lap of Dana Acker, another of their college friends, who rolled her eyes and pushed Lacy playfully into the seat next to her.

Not interested in a lapdance, lady. She grinned Adrienne’s way. Maybe Adie wants one, though!

Adrienne snorted. Sorry, drunk straight chicks aren’t my type, she threw back.

Aww, c’mon. You know you want this! Lacy crawled along the seats in Adrienne’s direction, her sexy prowl attempt resulting in a listing stumble. She lost her balance again and almost took a header onto the floor, but Adrienne jumped up to keep her somewhat upright.

Lacy fell back against the seat and blinked up at her, and Adrienne shook her head even as she bit back a grin. Dana, hand me a bottle of water, would you? We need to get something other than liquor into her or she’ll be calling it an early night.

A plastic bottle coated with condensation appeared in her vision, and she grabbed it and cracked the lid before holding it out. Drink this, slowly, she instructed. And if you finish it by the time we get to the next bar, I’ll let you have another drink then. Okay?

More drinkies, yay! Lacy laughed but dutifully tipped the bottle up to her mouth, all but a few drops making it down her throat. Adrienne sighed and settled into the seat next to her to be sure she finished the water.

If I ever get married, she thought, there will be no bar-hopping for my bachelorette party. Not that she’d ever been the bar-hopping kind anyway.

The bus slowed and bumped its way into yet another parking lot, and Adrienne hoped this would be the last stop. Lacy had two more maybes on her list, but with any luck, they’d get their fill at Smithtown and be ready to head home.

The driver pulled up in front of the bar, pushed the handle to open the door, and turned to face Adrienne. No place to park here. Gonna go to the McDonald’s down the block for a coffee. Call me when you’re ready to go.

Adrienne nodded her agreement as the other women started past her, headed down the step and toward the bar. Thankfully, no one fell, and Adrienne followed the gaggle of gigglers inside.

After showing their IDs, the group found a couple of small tables together not far from the door, but with a view of the stage at the center of the room. One reason Lacy had picked Smithtown for their list was because they advertised an all-female glam rock band playing live that night. Sure enough, about the time their group got their first drink orders in, four women climbed onto the stage and started messing around with instruments. Two brunettes, a redhead, and a blonde, though she had wide pink streaks in her hair. Their outfits ran the gamut from tight jeans and a ripped t-shirt to leather pants and platform boots, mostly in black, white, or metallic gold. When they turned to face the audience, Adrienne saw they all wore bright stage makeup, light sparkling off their lips and eyelids. The redhead stepped up to the mike at center stage.

    We’re Graphite and Glitter, y’all!

A surge of cheers rose from the crowd, and the brunette drummer counted the band off into their first number. Even through the overwhelming layers of sparkle, all four of the women were hot. The brunette on drums and the one on lead guitar could be twins—maybe they were—and the lead singer was tall, lanky, and could flat-out out wail.

But what captured Adrienne’s attention was the bass guitarist off to the side, almost in her own world. The blonde with pink streaks in her hair wore tight white jeans, a gold lamé blouse, and white patent, four-inch platform boots that were definitely not made for walking. She held her instrument like she’d been born with it in her hands, and Adrienne could almost feel that touch whispering across her own skin.

She didn’t remember the last time she’d found a woman so attractive. Sure, she’d dated off and on the past few years, but none of them held a candle to the woman on stage. If just looking at her could make Adrienne’s body react like that, getting to touch her might end in spontaneous combustion.

A spotlight shifted out to shine on the audience, and as the girls around her jumped up and cheered, Adrienne found herself looking straight into the eyes of the bass player. The woman stared back before she gave a slow, sexy smile that sent heat rushing over Adrienne’s skin.

Hey! Someone jostled Adrienne’s shoulder, breaking the connection between her and the bass player. She turned to find Lacy grinning at her. Dana says the band’s done after this set. She says we should invite them along. The more the merrier, right?

    Shit. Adrienne
