About this ebook
This book will stir your heart to see the necessity, possibilities, power, purpose, reality, and weapon of prayer.
Prayer was central in the life of our Lord on earth.
Men equally should pray and make prayer central in all they do. They are to spend increasing time in prayer to know increasing freedom in their spirit and to know God more and more. It is at the place of prayer that men know God. The more a man prays, the more he will have God.
Professor Fomum was a man of prayer and considered prayer to be the most important work that can be done for God and for man. He kept a record of his prayer requests and had over 50,000 recorded answers to prayer in his prayer books.
From His Prayer Files will take you to the Zach Fomum Academy of Prayer through a verbatim report of what transpired during the various prayer session he led in the years 1990 and 1991. It captures the essence of prayer from an author who diligently practiced what he taught.
Do you need personal revival in your prayer life? If so, then read this book as it will prompt and push you to the ultimate task of the church—prayer.

Preface
From his Prayer Files is a compilation of thoughts on prayer that brother Zach shared with the church during some prayer meetings in the years 1990 and 1991.
The author emphasises the fact that you will never grow in your prayer life if you do not know radical separation from the love of the world and the love of the things of the world. The heart must be free from the love of the world and the love of the things of the world to be able to carry God’s burden in prayer.
Your prayer life is proportional to your hatred for sin. You cannot love sin and pray. If you want to grow in prayer, expose all sins in your heart and be delivered from sin. Prayer dies when sin comes in.
According to the author, prayer follows the principle of sowing and reaping. It is a principle. He who sows abundantly will also reap abundantly. In prayer, a man reaps according to what he has sown. Prayer is giving God no rest until He rends the heavens. Prayer is the weapon God uses to produce a church in splendour. If we want the presence of God to manifest in the church, we must pray.
Your holiness will determine how long you will stay at the place of prayer. You cannot cheat. Do not disqualify yourself from the place of prayer by keeping sin in your heart.
For World Conquest to succeed now, we need to pay an increased price in prayer; and build increasing teams of praying people whose prayers have weight. To have breakthroughs, we need weighty prayers and powerful prayers. Simple prayers will not do much. We need many good-hearted people to pray for World Conquest. In fact, their contribution will maintain us in a healthy condition. For us to move ahead, we need mature people, consecrated people, warriors and leaders to pray for World Conquest. World Conquest involves new territories and new strongholds. Warfare prayers are for prayer warriors.
As you read this book, may you come to terms with the fact that it is pray or perish
so that you will be committed to pray until the Lord comes to take us home. May prayer be our duty and our delight. Let us pray and continue to pray until the Lord’s return.

Some Thoughts on Prayer
Primary leadership leans on prayer and on God, not on ideas or mathematics.
It is easy to sin in the presence of a prayerless man.
The presence of a man of prayer keeps the environment straight.
We must build a walk with God that compels evil spirits to flee when we pray.
If we raise the prayer level, we will also raise the level of blessing.
All the key people must be at the place of prayer so that they would follow the same direction.
Gather people to pray for your leader and one day God will raise people to pray for you.
Those who are praying for World Conquest are saying, O God, let it succeed or we perish.
Men of prayer must be violent and ruthless.
Serious believers don’t take God for granted; they pray about every detail.
Men of prayer don’t act before they have heard God.
Men of prayer must grow and distinguish themselves in forgiveness.
The devil’s greatest weapons are against the vision. The vision must be prayed through and protected.
When there are pressures on you, leave everything and turn to prayer.
You cannot pray with the faith of another person. Pray at your level.
Men of prayer have unparalleled opportunities to make history because everything is decided at the place of prayer.
Men of prayer have received the revelation of the God that can never fail; so they pray with all their hearts and with all their strength.
When mature believers settle not to pray, hell rejoices.
Greatness in prayer comes from extraordinary faithfulness in ordinary things.
Everybody has 24 hours. The person that gives the greatest part to prayer will make the difference in eternity.
Kingdom rank will be determined by the things in which everybody had the same opportunity. Your prayer life will determine your kingdom rank because all of us can pray for what we want and for how long we want.
Someone can be moved to pray 12 hours a day and stop praying for one month. That is not discipline in prayer. Discipline in prayer is praying for 30 minutes everyday unfailingly for weeks and months as a way of life and grow from there.
Grow in your prayer life step by step; don’t jump steps.
Prayer is the essence of the Christian life.
Some churches have as God’s call, the call to pray.
Don’t assume that you know how to pray; everyone should learn how to pray before teaching others how to pray.
We have to work on strategies for effectiveness in prayer. Prayer must be planned with rigour. For effectiveness, we should tell people what to say in their prayers. That is why we have to write prayer topics for people to pray correctly.
The prayer pattern of
