I have wanted to be a writer since I learned to read. My reading ability was always at the top of the class and this developed into the talent for storytelling.  In 2011 an injury to my left leg left me disabled and I finally got the opportunity to try to write. The first stories I had published were in a US available only anthology.  The Ghost of St. Mary's and The Rocking Lantern were not only the first published, but the first I wrote. Later that year, I had Old Church Ghosts published on line in the UK. The original version is only availlable in the Special Edition version.  I made my on line reputation for ghost stories, but I also write for the children's charity books by The Peacock Writers. In 2012, my book Chronicles of Mark Johnson won an award for excellence from the US on line magazine  indiePENdents.org. Both this book, and its sequel Wharfemere Finale had rave reviews from New York reviewer, Fran Lewis. In recent times, my US hit series Forgestriker has sold over 350 e-books in the seven books series, and earned me a reputation for writing sci-fi in the USA.

    About the Author

Annette didn't hear Mark's promise of her impending doom. She didn't need to. The look on his face displayed more raw anger than any words he may say. He stood before her, a man willing to chase her to his death if necessary. To cleanse his soul of her presence, and he made it obvious he would go there.

Mark's dark demonic spirit had taken control of him. The shattered remains of his former self-lay in a pit of evil and malice. His mind roamed an area nobody dared dream existed. His demons fed upon the evil which he planned for Annette at the end of their struggle. Only he knew when, how and where the end would come. His drive came from the darkest desires for revenge. A desire he let fester since his betrayal.

The silence between the friends was palpable as none wanted to speak as they got in the car. Mark's uttered promise for revenge had scared the group and left a stunned silence in its wake. He made it clear he had every intention of chasing the witch, Annette. He had the intention of bringing her to task for the results of her actions and the destruction of his soul. The nervous breakdown had forced his mind to the darker reaches of his psyche'. Areas of the mind which men of all eras questioned the belief it existed. Mark lived among the demons of his mind. To the horror of his friends, he appeared to thrive in the darkness of his damaged soul.

The car moved slowly away from the Abbey as the drizzle turned to rain, making visibility hard and driving treacherous. Over the lashing rains and in the fading light, the monsters' movements became audible as they smelt fear. Mark had crossed a line of primaeval thought that enabled him to sense the creatures delight at the thought of fresh meat. The coldness outside did not compare to the chills the passengers felt. As they tried to come to terms with what Mark was changing into or had, he changed already?

Rachel sat on the back seat with Phil beside her, crying on his shoulder and shivering with horror. Mark sat rocking to and fro in the passenger seat, head down and chanting his mantra. I will end this one way or the other, Annette, over and over to the point of distraction. Beside him in the driver's seat P.A. peered into the gloom and wondered what Mark had planned. Unknown to them Mark was not on some revenge-crazed drive. He was meticulously planning each stage to leave no room for the slightest error.

Nobody knew what to do or what to say to Mark. More worrying was how his
