God's Son and God's Science

About this ebook
Religion, Science, Spirituality, and Nature go hand in hand in this book. In choosing a category for this book, one choice was Religion and Spirituality. The other choice was Science and Nature. Ingrained in our society is a separation of Religion and Science. In this book they truly go hand in hand as you will find when you read about the Son of Man who really did live, breath, and walk the earth. We hear his teachings every day in churches around the world, but we never understand the Scientist that he was. We take his words very much at the surface and we never grasp his deeper truths. This book takes God and his Son, Jesus, to a new level in our understanding of just how BIG God really is. On our tiny planet, we never consider the immensity of a universe controlled by one God when we are trying to understand why He would grace the earth with his presence. His Science alone gives us proof that what Jesus said and did as he walked the earth was more important than anything we could ever learn on this earth. His story has been with us for 2000 years and it will stay with us until he returns and until the Sun destroys the earth. If you are searching for a savior or a sermon, you might find it here or you might not. One thing for sure is you will find a different way of hearing Jesus’ words. Every word that Jesus said held the knowledge and understanding of the universe that our tiny minds can only minutely comprehend in the age we live in today. How great is the future that lies ahead for us!

Introduction
I believe the prophecies in the Old Testament to be true that were written about a Savior and I also believe Jesus to be that Savior. The reason is really very simple. In the Old Testament there were different people or prophets in different time periods who passed down stories about his birth. In such olden times these people had no written source of information. They had a vision, they spoke with God, or they had a dream. They told their story and it was passed down over generations. If they even had scrolls, they were private things kept in homes passed down by families. Stories matched. Some stories fit together to make the full gamut of God’s plan known to us.
Yes! Real people gave us the stories in the Bible. Real people memorized the stories and real people ultimately wrote down the stories. But they weren’t made up or exaggerated. They were just as they witnessed them and just as they heard from eyewitnesses. Archeologists in today’s world found proof to back up Bible stories as well. But the New Testament is the real clincher for me. The four men who wrote independent eyewitness stories about the things Jesus said and did is the proof that makes me believe that Jesus lived, preached, and did everything they said he did. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are my real proof.
All of the scribes who started copying the old scrolls and then translating them made a mess of things at times. But all in all they got the stories of the ancestors pretty accurate. The same stories had been told so many times that people had them memorized. The decisions made by the church of that time as far as which writings would go into the Bible might have been different if more people had been included in the meetings. There was controversy but when you read this book, you’ll find that Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John had the same types of decisions to make about what they wrote in their books. Matthew and John had first-hand instruction directly from Jesus. Mark and Luke knew the apostles who had been taught by the greatest rabbi known to this world - Jesus. Luke even knew Mary, the mother of Jesus, in later years after her sons’ death.
My story is about more than this. My story is about a Jesus that is still real today. My story is about a God that is, was, and always will be exactly what the Bible says about Him and more! My more
is exciting and new and to say the least controversial. My more
is hard to deny from a scientist point of view. And it all started when I met Jesus in person! It all started when I talked with him without speaking a word.
Preface
Another Ordinary Day in 2001
This book is dedicated to my children and grandchildren in hopes they will someday read about the man named Jesus, a man whom I never taught them about. I learned about Jesus when I was a young child growing up in Alabama, attending a Southern Baptist church with my parents. I stopped attending church when I left home and started a family. At Christmas time I would open the Bible to the story of Jesus and lay it on the coffee table as a decoration. I briefly told my children the story of the birth of Jesus and that was it! I never took them to church a single day throughout their entire lives growing up. In the poetry of Proverbs, Jesus learned from chapter 22, verse 6, Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.
I missed the boat. I didn’t learn about that Proverb when I was learning about Jesus. I didn’t learn about Abraham like Jesus did. In Genesis chapter 18 verse 19, God said, I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the Lord and do what is right and just. Then I will do for him all that I promised.
And boy! Did He? He gave us a Savior from Abraham’s family line and the rest is history!
I never forgot about Jesus because, you’ve got to admit, that’s a pretty extraordinary story! He was in my thoughts in some way just about every day. Once in a while I would even mention him to my children, but that was usually when I wanted to make some point about being good. When my children grew up and left home, I began to read more and my interest was always in historical things such as religions. It seems, however, that I always ended up checking in with the Bible on every subject that came up.
On January 11, 2001, my second grandchild was born. I was in the birthing room with a crowd of the Mother’s family and my son. I sat on a sofa with my back against a window staring at all the people standing in the room. I listened to my daughter-in-law screaming out in labor and closed my eyes to ponder over the whole thing. Under my eyelids, I saw figures, (people, if you will) walking toward me. I was fully awake but I was seeing with my eyes closed. As the figures came closer to me, a man with long smooth dark hair appeared on my left side. He was wearing a dark robe. The screaming became more and more intense making me open my eyes suddenly. Everyone was now standing and edging toward the hospital bed. I did the same. No one could really see because the sheets and the midwife covered everything. I guess they just wanted to be the first to see the baby.
My neighbor just happened to be the head nurse over the maternity ward in this hospital. As I stood waiting for the baby to be born, I saw her come into the room. I was confused because there was a male nurse standing next to me whom I thought was going to go over and take the baby. Instead she went over, took the baby in her arms, and carried him over to the table to wash him off. I turned to look at the young man in green scrubs to my left. I was planning on making some kind of joke that the boss was taking over his job, when suddenly I couldn’t speak. My eyes locked onto his and I felt as if the weight of the world had been lifted off of me! I had never in my entire life had such a feeling when I looked into someone’s eyes. Yes! It was an emotional moment when little Devin was born, but this feeling had nothing to do with a life being brought into the world. This feeling was profound and deep, down to the very heart of me. It was a feeling stripped of Earthly sanity, charged with purity of a kind my soul could only understand. I was in my soul and not in person as I stood beside this young man. Shoulder length brown hair that was trimmed in layers and brushed back just a little on the sides. His bangs were falling onto his forehead. The smooth light brown olive skin of his face was only about two feet away from my face. It was only a moment, but it seemed an eternity before I turned away to see my neighbor with Devin in her arms. I watched her wash the baby and when she wrapped him up in a blanket, I turned back to the man beside me, but he was gone. He must have slipped through the crowd and out the door in those few seconds that I looked at the baby.
The baby was finally taken away to the nursery and we all stood around and talked. In talking with one of the cousins who had been standing behind me, I realized that I might have been the only one who saw this nurse. Back at the nursery the next day, I saw my neighbor again and asked her why she had come in to clean up the baby when there was a nurse there already. She said, Oh I thought, since I knew the family, it would be nice if I came in for that.
She paused then, But I didn’t have another nurse in there. It was just me.
I said, But there was one there. He was standing next to me wearing green scrubs with long brown hair.
She got a strange look on her face, but smiled and said, Honestly, I don’t know of a nurse in the hospital that looks like that. And all my nurses are female on this floor right now.
So I thought, OK! He walked up to me, right? But that was when I had my eyes closed. And then I knew they were the same. The man in the robe under my eyelids and the man in the scrubs standing next to me were the same! He can appear… still!! But I still never told my little grandchildren about him. I did sing, "Jesus Loves Me as one of the many lullabies to put the babies to sleep. So one day when Devin was a three year old toddling around, he said to me, out of the deep blue sky,
Gamma! I miss Jesus!"
Now I have things in my house to remind me of him almost everywhere I turn: A nativity scene on a shelf behind a glass door, a small picture of a modern-day Jesus hanging next to my coffee pot, a crystal nativity amid crystal in my cupboard, a basket containing two wooden fish and 5 fake loaves of bread to name a few. He lives! In my mind, I can never forget him; but in my children’s minds, he is not there. I never really gave him to them.
It is my belief that he can do this at will! He can appear when he deems it necessary. But it’s a personal thing. It’s an individual thing. The only people who know it are the people that it happens to. No one else really has to believe that it happened. That’s how a meeting with Jesus is. It’s personal without flare and decorum.
He told us in the book of John chapter 14 verse twenty-one, "Those who obey my commandments are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my father will love them, and I will love them. And I will reveal myself to each one of them." When I read that verse, I didn’t feel worthy at all. But I still knew I had seen him without a shadow of a doubt.
The story of his life that I am about to tell is as much about God as it is about Jesus. Without Him there would be no Jesus! He is the driving force in this whole thing. What I write in this book about God may surprise some and it may even amaze some. It may someday even become the norm
as far as having an understanding of the God that will take us into the future of this world.
Chapter 1
One Calendar
What if, some time after you were born, the world decided to rewrite the entire calendar of days to designate the very day that you were born? What if your very birth had been foretold thousands of years in advance? And by foretold, meaning that it was told and retold and finally written down and passed through generations. That being said, you might ask,
