About this ebook
"A lamb for my supper will taste mighty fine!" thought a wily old wolf by the name of Lou Pine. Poor Lou! In this fractured fairy tale, the wolf is stopped at the hedge by the flock's protector, Rambo the Ram. So Lou sets off to find a disguise that will let him sneak into the flock. He tries a fuzzy bathrobe, paint, and even cotton candy, but nothing works out. Can he scare Red Riding Hood's grandmother into knitting him a costume? Or will she—like everyone else—be able to thwart the wolf's plans?

Reviews for The Great Sheep Shenanigans
15 ratings5 reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is so clever and funny. The wolf wants a lamb for his supper, but he has to get around Rambo the Ram, so he tries the old "wolf in sheep's clothing" trick. He bullies Red Riding-hood's granny into making him a sweater, but granny has some tricks of her own (and the best part of that scene is the reaction of the other sheep who are watching it all happen).
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a cute book to teach children to that someone else's property is not their's to touch. It has a similar story as The Three Little Pigs but it involves sheep and them plotting against the wolf.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Fun rhyming story with extra, extra fluffy sheep.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This story is hilarious. The illustrations are playful and energetic. I like that some of the artwork is presented in frames like in a graphic novel because it really shows more detail of what happens during each of the wolf's escapades. I like that the grandma is witty in this story versus being helpless like in other versions of Red Riding Hood; she ties the end of the sweater she knit for the wolf onto her bedpost so the wolf is discovered. I enjoy that this book doesn't shy away from taboo topics like poop or eating lamb (that way kids really know where food comes from).
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great story, not very well illustrated
