      Island Bliss, the captured time I grew to miss

      Island Bliss, the captured time so sun-kissed

      to list and fade away

      the worries of a yesterday

      Island Bliss, the happy thoughts that this could be

      the brightest blue beyond the sea,

      and tranquility, my friend

      saw us breathe deep without an end

      a simple moment knew

      the waves that now lap over you

      are in the final clue

      the gallery that grew

      when eyes in weary sunshine knew

      all colours blast through

      shining bright and new

      a list - the boat,

      the simple float

      upon a perfect day

      what else was left to say

      for what was left was left to be,

      a simple line imagery

      and all around,

      I silenced sound

      with deep depths blue of sea profound

      A moment just to breathe

      a moment to (just) receive

      the searing of the sun

      the melding into one

      the deep blue blue,

      au fonds, is all I say to you

      Au fonds where it prolong

      the depth of movement goes along

      the colour on a plate when all the ocean wide

      awake, feels each little shake and turn

      volcanic undergrowth that burn

      quick and clean away

      sulphur is spouting out today

      and bubbles in the soil

      arise through water as to toil

      the worries clean away

      the bright bright blue

      begins to play

      a simple melody

      the strumming of reality

      upon the Caribbean sea

      when the Atlantic washed right over me

      I dived in snorkelled lagoon

      we went so far as to maroon

      each thought of everything

      that had a flight of wing,

      the ocean that now bring

      upon a bright bright blue

      the bleached white that surround you:

      Heat and countermanding

      exhaustion understanding,

      that the very still

      has the power yet to thrill

      and in the cauldron heat,

      a memory fleet and true

      burned around you

      a final chance to be:
