    Introduction

After learning the importance of asking what needs to be understood at this time from a spiritual teacher in my life, I began having this question at the forefront of each meditation I do. Sometimes meditating for only a few minutes, other times meditating for hours at a time, each day I learned to listen and accept the guidance that arrives, never knowing what will come. Sometimes, I am given a sense of knowing or channeled passages that arrive in phrases and sentences during these meditations. Other times, I am given visions or stories as guidance.

Symbols teach us and heal at the level of the soul, allowing us to surpass the words that keep us confined by the restrictions they have. With the messages within this book, I was given information in the form of stories or visions that would benefit all in understanding and contemplation. Descriptions of each vision are followed with the corresponding message and questions that came forth during each meditation.

I recommend that you do not read this book in one sitting, but focus on one section at a time, reading and journaling on what comes up for you with each section. If after reading and working through this book, you would like to learn the techniques used, my contact information is located in the back of this book.

For some, the questions that arise after reading the visions or stories will be completely different and unique to them. When this occurs, journal about those thoughts instead of merely reading the guidance provided after each. We have our own path to walk in this life and there is no one right way to go forward.

As they did for me, I hope these stories help shine more Light on your shadows, releasing you from their power so that you may walk unencumbered on the journey before you.

    Frozen

I am standing in an area with beautiful marble statues comparing myself to them. I do not recognize that they are stagnant and do not change, grow or evolve the way I do as a human.

There are other humans mixed in with the statues, and I am trying to wake them up. I call out to them that they need not be frozen in a perfect pose like the marble beings surrounding them. Humans are able to explore, grow and expand in this lifetime.

In the middle of a group of statues stands a boy no longer completely frozen, circling his arms backwards over and over again, striving to regain his balance. His legs are still frozen, stuck in the position they were in when he was closer to being a statue than a boy. He could find stability if he releases those things that are keeping his legs stuck.

There are stairs in front of the mixed group of statues and humans. None can climb the stairs until their legs begin to move and they accept their true calling. Off to the side, a large dump truck is unloading a mixture onto them. Jewels and stones will quickly cover the entire group leaving them smothered in the glittering pile. If the humans that are waking up do not understand how to move their legs and find release, they will remain among the statues and though awake once more, they will drown in the heap that is now surrounding them.

Panic causes many to finally free themselves as the upheaval allows a clarity in mind that they were unable to achieve before. Some still remain mixed in with the marble, unable to move. A few are not even awake enough to recognize this lost opportunity. The humans that free themselves are still learning the motions of their bodies as they maneuver their way up the stairs past the flood of jewels and stones with stiff and jerky movements.

The group that looks from the top of the stairs down at the bottom is not large. The statues they were emulating can no longer be seen, lost in a layer of rock and glitter.

We are bombarded with images through the media telling us how we should look, feel and act. The pressure to conform to these beliefs is great but does not allow us to embrace our true potential. Accepting that you do not have to live like others but merely show up as you are in this lifetime is a powerful way to move throughout the world.

How can you release yourself from the misbelief that you need to look like and act like those around you that you have judged as worthy?

What can you do to accept your life as being worthy to live?

What feelings of inadequacy are you willing to let go of at this time?

    Water

The water appears as if in a deluge before me, dangerous and overpowering as it pours around me. I back up, changing my perspective. Instantly, I see that the water I thought was dangerous in magnitude, is in reality, coming from a small pipe in front of me. By stepping away from the sight before me, I am no longer filled with fear and dread.

Over time, watching the water from this new vantage point, it begins to trickle and then decrease until only a few drops are coming out. After some time, it once more begins to quickly cascade out. The amount and rate of the water no longer concern me as I am no longer scared that it is dangerous and can affect me.

Sometimes, we get caught up in the chaos around us. If we have a helper personality, we jump right in, trying to assist and ease the way for those around us. This can cause us to lose our perspective and our way. At these times, stepping back and resting, taking time for yourself, allows you to regroup and find your place.

What areas feel overpowering and dangerous in your life?

Are these your problems or another’s that you have chosen to take on?

    The Forest

A forest stands in front of me. The wide trees each tower above the ground, going high into the sky except for the area directly in front of me which sports two grieving tree stumps, roughly chopped down at the base. The jagged hacks at each base are still fresh to the touch. The wounds are noticeable for all to see. Though these two trees are no longer the powerful majestic trees they once were, they do not change the strength of the forest. There are still many trees in the dense forest that surrounds me.

Turning to look behind me, I see the forest continue in that direction, with no end in sight. The trees do not feel warm and welcoming in this direction but overpower me with their darkness that reaches to the light above, muting what comes down to me. Claustrophobic and lost, I do not know the direction I am meant to take.

Panicking, I sit on the stumps behind me. The two trees that had once grown almost intertwined in their growth, both support me as I sit and connect to them beneath me. I sit and listen. I am now able to hear animals moving in the forest, birds chirping from their perches and the wind gently moving through the trees as it brushes each leaf. A ray of light breaks through the branches above and spears towards me.

Smiling, I feel myself relax, enjoying the light touching me, forgetting the darkness
