About this ebook

The young Dwarven girl Valda is finally and truly a Valkyrie. She has earned her place as a servant of the Norse gods. She is finally free to travel beyond her ancient mountain home. That's when Odin sends her on a mission that brings her straight back to her ancient mountain home.

There she discovers Draugr, the zombies of the Norse world, are threatening the city. Her search for the person behind this threat takes her all the way to Hel, the land of the dead. She can at least be grateful that Loki isn't the one behind this deadly plot. Then she learns that the Trickster is the only one who can help her stop the undead threat. How can she find her biggest enemy and convince him to help her?

Valda Goes Through Hel is the third book in the Valda & the Valkyries series. The ongoing story takes you on a wild ride, galloping through the people and places of Norse mythology, while throwing in plenty of twists and turns that stay true to the spirit of the sagas. The series is suitable for readers of all ages who are looking for a light-hearted, adventurous story.

Author

Mark Neumayer

Mark Neumayer has been soaking up books on mythology almost as long as he has been reading. And that's despite the best efforts of the elementary school librarian to get him to read Dr. Seuss "with the other kids." He reads: omnivorously, near-incessantly, and concurrently - thinking nothing of jumping back and forth between three different books at a time. Mark wrote prolifically back in high school and even edited the school paper. Afterwards, however, he drifted into the world of TV graphics. He still wrote the occasional commercial, but he concentrated on the graphic side of things, working as an Art Director for two different TV stations and picking up a regional Emmy Award along the way. He's also worked for a textbook publisher, an environmental activist group and run his own freelance design business. Now he is writing again and quite happy about that. Mark has lived in New York, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Ohio. He currently lives with his wife Theresa and his son Taliesin in North Carolina, where he is working on the next book in the Valda series.
