    This unique book by Auto Racing Analysis (ARA) provides the history of the Tyrrell P34 racecar and a pictorial feature of the scale model car based on the car driven by Ronnie Peterson.

    The Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler Formula One racecar made its World Championship debut at Jarama in the May 2, 1976 Spanish Grand Prix. Patrick Depailler qualified third and ran third from laps two through twenty-four of the 75-lap race. He crashed out on lap twenty-six with brake failure, placing twentieth.

    This presentation also includes a complete copy of the ARA book, Auto Racing Analysis Today in Auto Racing: Victory Lane Milestones. This fascinating report provides a daily, date-by-date, 366-day compendium of victory lane milestones chronicling racing victories from 1894. It includes career-first driver victories, final victories of a drivers' career, first and last wins in racing series, major event victory milestones, first wins on pavement or dirt, initial victories in endurance races, first and last wins for major entrants or marques, and initial wins in 500-milers.

    From Rauno Aaltonen to Charles Zwolsman, from AAA to the World of Outlaws, over one hundred years of victory lane milestones are covered. Career-first driver victories are noted, as are the final victories of a drivers’ career. Other milestones include first and last wins in racing series, major event victory milestones, first wins on pavement or dirt, initial victories in endurance races, first and last wins for major entrants or marques, and initial wins in 500-milers.

    Racing’s earliest events are noted, including the early city-to-city races, grand prix, voiturette, and cyclecar races, and endurance events including the LeMans 24 Hours, Spa 24 Hours, Mille Miglian and Targa Florio. Milestones from early AAA action are extensively covered, including “big car” and midget competition, as well as 1930s-era competition under sanctions such as IMCA and CSRA and the weekly midget action so common in the 1930s.

    The Formula Junior era’s milestones are comprehensively documented, as are the many “Formula Libre” and nonchampionship grand prix and sports car events held in international racing. International competition shares the spotlight with competition in North America as the Victory Milestones give the reader a panoramic view of competition worldwide.

    Oval and road course racing are joined by rally competition, early pre-NASCAR Daytona Beach racing, the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, the Chili Bowl midget classic, the Trophee Andros ice racing series, the SCCA Runoffs, the Anderson Speedway “Little 500” sprint car classic, early pre-Pro Racing SCCA Nationals amateur features, major off-road classics, the Five Flags “Snowball Derby” late model classic, the Phoenix Copper Classic, the British Formula Ford Festival, and other classic events.
