    THANX

Hugo thanks to our Lord, who brought me through my own Josek Experience as we developed this story. He gave me a new life and showed me a love like no other. Without Him, this story would not exist. To Him be all glory and honor forever!

Special thanks to my two sons without whom this story would not be as great. They are ACIE! (Awesome, Creative, Imaginative & Encouraging)

Thanks to George Lucas and Steven Spielberg whose stories have entertained and inspired generations.

Thanks to the many artists who provided positive and uplifting music which encouraged us each and every day as we wrote. The words you sing are more than songs. They are hope. And strength.

Galactic Bible Stories take place not so long ago in a galaxy not so far away. It is our hope these stories will encourage reading of the true Biblical accounts of the people who inspired these stories.

The names of the characters and places have been (slightly) changed and new characters have been added, but the Biblical principles remain. Each of us is accountable for the thoughts we think, the words we speak and the actions we take. Each of us must trust God Almighty. Each of us must help others in need.

Through life’s journey, may the Lord be with you. Always.

    Warning

    MISPELD WORDS

Many of the words in this story may seem mispeld. This is because the text of the story was translated from the original galactic language.

    A HOUSE DIVIDED

Four hundrek solar revolutions after the Great Galactic Destruction which destroyed all humaks except Noak and his family, God Almighty spoke to Abrak, "Leave your planet. Travel to the galaxy that I will show you and I will bless you.

I will make your name great. I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you, and all the inhabitants of the universe will be blessed through you."

So Abrak journeyed in his spaceship into outer space, as the Lord had instructed. He flew to the Caynaax galaxy.

Again, the Lord appeared to Abrak, I give this galaxy to you and your descendants.

Abrak had two sons, Oatmael and Isaak. Isaak had twin sons, Seesaw and Jaykek.

Seesaw became a great hunter. Jaykek followed Almighty God and trained as a Shaddai Warrior.

Jaykek raised twelve sons. He named his firstborn, Rubek. The youngest he named Benjamik. The son he loved most was Josek.

Although the twelve brothers had the same Shaddai Warrior father, they had four different mothers. This caused strife among them.

Jaykek loved his wife, Raychill, the most. She was the younger sister of Jaykek’s first wife, Plaiya. Raychill stole Jaykek’s heart and he loved her more than life itself.

Because of the envy that grew like a weed inside their children, Josek was hated by many of his brothers. A house divided against itself cannot stand. A galaxy divided will fall.

While Josek’s brothers plotted against Josek, Saitak, the Red Dragon, plotted to rule the universe by utilizing the Sphere of Doom’s secret weapon.

There arose one who could lead an army against the Red Dragon’s evil plans.

    Josek.

    Chaktre 1

A battle wages for the soul of every living being. Love comes alive with every new birth. Evil and deception come from the dark side of the universe.

It is from that dark side, a STIE cargo ship traversed the never ending expanse of twinkling stars on its course to the small moon, Gedor. Shhhhhhhhewwwwwwwwww.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Stealth Tracking Intercept Evading Strykers, better known as STIE Strykers or STIES, were stealth spacecraft used by the Fawlen. They had short fuselages and vertical side wings.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Lower thrusters flared as the ship lowered to the terraformed moon’s surface.

The rear hatch of the cargo ship folded open to a ramp. Gothic-looking, Fawlen creatures which resembled humaks with black bodies and pale faces scrambled out of the ship.

Alamodeus, the last Fawlen to exit the ship was the tallest. He wore black chest armor, and a black glove on one hand. His other hand was mechanical.

A scar crossed his right eye which had been replaced by a mechanical lens. His lips were dark red, almost black like dried blood. Long black hair and a black cape flowed behind him.

His mechanical legs stomped slowly down the ramp. He pointed his mechanical arm toward the giant metal door that guarded the Godrock mines. Open that door!

A short Rehab nodded in agreement. Yes, Master.

Rehab was not as good looking as the other Fawlen. He possessed collectively all the characteristics that men loathed individually. He also suffered from low self-esteem which explained his love for torturing others. Rehab shouted to the Fawlen. You heard him! Hack that panel! Open that door!

One of the Fawlen hacked into the electrical controls. The large metal door that secured the Godrock mines partially opened. Alamodeus ducked beneath the heavy door and entered into a dark abyss. Enough light spilled in beneath the door to allow Alamodeus to make his way to the lighting control panel.

One by one, ceiling lights flickered on beginning with the lights closest to the large door and continuing down the tunnels carved into solid diamond.

The inside of the cavern looked like glass. Several tunnels had already been bored deep into the diamond. The circular walls were smooth and clear. Random areas had been further excavated.

Alamodeus approached one of the excavated areas. It was full of Godrocks. The Godrocks were different sized, translucent rocks. A spiritual force spiraled inside each rock, moving like a ghost. He admired them. God’s spoken word trapped inside a clump of minerals from the time of creation. No planet will be able to resist us.

    He stepped away. Load them.

Rehab repeated the order, Load them up!

All of the Fawlen except Alamodeus and Rehab swarmed into the excavated area like insects devouring their prey. They grabbed Godrocks.

Aaaugh! The Fawlen screamed in pain.

Peshkt! They burst into clouds of black locusts. The Fawlen were no more.

Alamodeus waved the black bugs away. We are going to need a new plan to get these out of here.

Rehab nodded in agreement. Yes, Master.

So a new plan was devised for someone else to steal the Godrocks. A trap was set in motion.

A group of waist-high, furry, mouse-like Argh-Arghs peeked out from one of the other corridors. They had big eyes, slender fingers, and large, sensitive ears. Aye, Master Josek? That bee yoo?

    WIDE AS GALAXIES

A spacecraft sped above a black ocean, skimming the splashing waves. Rubek piloted the ship with Ellie sitting beside him. Josek’s other brothers rode in the back on the open-air viewing deck, all except Benjamik who stayed home with his dad as usual.

Glowing underwater dots speckled the black ocean. Zebuluk gazed at the glowing dots. What are those?

A red-headed female Pug stepped close beside him as if they were best friends. Those are starfish.

Zebuluk pondered the starfish. There are so many of them. And the ocean, it’s so big, like it goes on forever, never ending.

I assure you, the red-headed Pug said, it ends. All things end.

Not all things, Zebuluk replied. Some things last forever.

And what might those things be? She asked.

She hoped he would tell her of galactic love deeper than the ocean, lasting for all infinity, his love for her everlasting.

Unbeknownst to them, dual spiked dorsal fins rose out of the water behind them, following them.

Zebuluk noticed the fins as they receded under the water. Marissa, did you see that?

Marissa gazed out at the water. See what? I didn’t see anything.

    Something splashed in the water.

The water under the ship glowed like fire. Fish of all sizes turned black. A giant mouth opened wide and swallowed the cooked fish.

    Their spacecraft jolted.

Simeok spit into the ocean. What was that?

Marissa looked to see if there was anything out there. She didn’t see anything. We must have hit something.

Zebuluk scanned the water looking for a sign of whatever might be out there. Or maybe something hit us.

Then a sea creature breached the water.

Zebuluk pulled Marissa from the edge of the ship. Sea dragon!

It curved high over the spacecraft until it splashed back into the black ocean in front of them. Rubek tried to dodge the creature. Its tail knocked the craft, shaking it. Then the sea dragon disappeared beneath the black water.

Rubek looked at the radar. Where did it go?

Josek’s brothers looked out into the water for a sign of the creature. Simeok spit into the water. Again.

His spit began to glow. The water below the craft began to glow.

    It’s under us! Simeok shouted.

The sea dragon swam up toward the surface at full speed.

It breached the water again. Its mouth opened and roared out an explosion of flames. The group ducked for cover. Judak activated his Godsword.

Vwuuum. He sliced off the sea dragon’s head.

The water under the ocean lit up with multiple bursts of fire. Boys, we’ve got company.

Zebuluk looked out at the glowing water.

Looks like he brought his friends. Bonnie!

Thump. Thump. Thump. Zebuluk’s new droik marched out onto the viewing deck.

Yes, Master Zebuluk, It said in a robotic female voice.

    Activate weapons system.

Multitudes of sea dragons breached the water. Zebuluk’s droik jumped into the sky.

She transformed into a weapon of mass destruction. A lazer gun extended from her right shoulder. A heat-seeking rokket launcher extended from her left shoulder. Compartments opened on each arm. Blaster cannons extended from each compartment.

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! Chunks of sea dragon fell into the water.

Zebuluk praised his droik, Good girl, Bonnie.

A dark cloud blew in from the east. Judak pointed at the cloud. Guys, what is that?

Josek’s brothers looked out at the cloud.

    Battle stations!" Simeok cried out.

Josek’s brothers shouted in unison. Droiks!

They slammed their fists onto the SW emblems of their chest armor. El Shaddai!

The SW emblems pressed in like large buttons. The emblems burst forth with bright lights, each a different color, that emanated from under the emblem itself.

Ksh. Ksh. Ksh. Their armor expanded piece by piece over their entire bodies. It expanded over their legs. It expanded over their arms. Their chest plates expanded. Helmets covered their heads. Shaddai Warrior heavy body armor covered their entire bodies.

A horde of sea dragons flew in from the east, too numerous to count.

Thump. Thump. Thump. Their droiks stomped in. The droiks shot into the air and transformed into ‘attack droiks’. They opened fire on the approaching sea dragons.

More sea dragons breached the water, attacking the ship.

Vwuuum. Vwuuum. Vwuuum. Some of Josek’s brothers sliced and diced the dragons. The other brothers manned blasters and fired into the water, turning the black ocean into a red sea.

A much larger mommy sea dragon shot straight up under their spacecraft and opened its mouth wide. Its mouth clamped down on the spacecraft. Its teeth punctured the hull.

The sea dragon released the spacecraft and dropped back into the ocean. The ship dropped onto the surface of the water.

Get us out of here! Ellie shouted to Rubek.

It was no use. The fuel lines had been punctured. Water poured in.

    Abandon ship! Rubek shouted.

Everyone climbed into the escape pod and fastened themselves in.

    Is everyone here? Rubek asked.

Simeok slammed his hand on the launch button. If they’re not, they’re dead.

The escape pod launched into the air. The sinking spaceship exploded.

The escape pod transformed into a small spacecraft while the droiks fought off the dragons below.

    That was close. Dak said.

    Too close. Gak added.

At least we’re safe now. Ellie sighed.

The top portion of the escape-pod spacecraft ripped off, pulled away by the razor sharp teeth of a granddaddy dragon. Smaller sea dragons ripped the rest of the spacecraft into pieces. The occupants fell from the sky, screaming.

    Ka-splash! Pshh! Kshh! Pkshh!

They fell onto the ocean, landing on it instead of in it.

Why are we not sinking? Judak asked.

Simeok ran ahead of the others. Come on, we have to get out of here!

Zebuluk took Marissa’s hand. Let’s go.

    They walked on water.

Don't let go. Don't let go. He told her.

The shore seemed so far away.

The surf surged. The ocean roared.

Marissa squeezed Zebuluk’s hand. Tell me what lasts forever.

They all ran across the water, but they still were not safe. The sea dragons in the water chased after them.

A sea dragon rose over the remains of their burnt spacecraft and pulled it underwater.

The granddaddy dragon that tore their spacecraft apart flew towards them. A multitude of sea dragons splashed in the water around them. They were trapped. There was nowhere to go.

Above them the granddaddy dragon flew at them, ready to cook them and eat them for its next meal.

The granddaddy’s mouth opened. Its throat began to glow. Zebuluk hugged Marissa tight.

Rubek held Ellie tight. Don’t look up. Look into eyes.

Ellie wrapped her arms around his neck. I love you.

Flames exited the dragon’s mouth. They were doomed.

This is our fault, Simeok said. We are being punished for our sin against Josek.

    Ka-boom! The dragon exploded.

Fwoosh! A fleet of spaceships flew over them. Bombs dropped in the water around them. The sea dragons that held them captive blew up.

The spaceships flew out and destroyed the remaining sea dragons that the droiks were fighting.

The droiks landed on the water next to Josek’s brothers.

Zebuluk noticed something in the sky coming towards them. What is that?

    It’s a spaceship. Marissa replied.

A spaceship came closer and closer until it hovered above them.

The mommy sea dragon leapt out of the water. It opened its mouth wide ready to swallow them all.

Marissa screamed. They all cowered, expecting to be eaten.

Zzzzt! A lazer shot from the spaceship and zapped the mommy sea dragon. It lit up like an x-ray. Then it fell back into the water.

Judak looked up at the spaceship. That ship just saved our lives.

A beam of light burst out of the ship in front of them like a giant flashlight. A man wearing a golden, dog-faced helmet beamed down from the ship.

    Who is that? Judak asked.

I don’t know, Rubek replied. But whoever it is, he has great power and saved us.

Rubek bowed down on one knee before the man wearing the golden mask. The others joined him, bowing on their knees.

The mysterious man wearing the dog-faced helmet removed his helmet.

His brothers could hardly believe it.

    Josek!

Simeok spit into the water. There is no way this can be Josek. I don’t believe my eyes.

Rubek rose to his feet. Blessed be the God of Josek who has power to deliver His faithful from adversity.

May the Lord be with you. Always, Josek said to them.

    Josek! Zebuluk shouted.

    Chaktre 3

    THIS IS THE DAY

    Josek! Get up!

    Josek’s eyes burst open. Ahhhh!

He sat up freaked out. His mind instantly processed that he was in his bedroom on his hoverbed and not a dark ocean saving his brothers. He fell back to his pillow. His eyes closed and he dozed off, replaying the same dream, a premonition of future events.

    Josek.

Josek’s eyes were glued shut. He tried to open them, but his deep sleep prevented them from opening.

    Josek.

Josek’s mind split in two. One half remained in the dream world. The other half slowly awoke to the friendly voice of his brother Zebuluk. The dream world slowly receded. He attempted to force his eyes open through shuttering strains as if he were rising from the dead.

Josek, get up. Hey, Wake up! Good morning! It’s a brand new day.

Josek’s eyes burst open again. Huh?

Josek had slept late again. The early morning light spilled through his bedroom’s round porthole windows casting its waking glow across his bed. Josek’s thick, sandy blonde hair looked as messy as his room.

It wasn’t that Josek was a slob or lazy, most of the time he just didn’t notice the mess. It was more like organized clutter. He knew where everything was in his room, he just didn’t know where to put it all so it didn’t look cluttered. Besides, a slight mess was au naturel and added to the peaceful state of his existence. At least that’s the excuse he used when his father asked him to clean his room.

Josek glanced over the foot of his bed expecting to see his brother, but instead only saw Zebuluk’s legs and boots. Good morning, Zebuluk’s boots.

Josek closed his eyes again hoping those feet would go away so he could go back to sleep.

Zebuluk, the third youngest of the sons of Jaykek was an entertainer at heart. He had recently learned how to walk on his hands. Zebuluk liked to play, have fun, make up songs in his head and rap everything he said.

He spoke in rhyme most of the time. Did you dream a dream about a future thing?

Yeah. I think it means something. Josek replied.

It means eating too much sugar before going to sleep, you should not do. Hurry up or they’ll leave without you.

Josek yawned. Yeah, yeah. I wouldn’t want to keep my older brothers waiting.

Josek drifted back to sleep even if only for a moment.

Like the typical child of a Shaddai Warrior, Josek was taught to love and trust God. He also loved playing vid games, eating pixxa and sleeping late. Today, he planned to do all three, but those plans were quickly changing, especially the sleeping late part.

Zebuluk stretched his feet toward the light switch and flexed his boot up and down. The bedroom lights flickered on and off. Wake up, Joe. We have to go.

Dust filtered through the sun rays over Josek’s hoverbed. Josek opened his eyes once again not yet fully awake. Hello, dusty sunshine. Good morning, messy room. Good morning, El Shaddai.

Every morning Josek greeted everyone and sometimes everything with a cheerful good morning. It was his way of ensuring each day got off to a good start. Every day was a new day, the first day of the best of his life, day one of the rest of his life. Josek gave thanks and rejoiced in them, or went back to sleep, or both.

Josek continued mumbling half asleep, Thank You, God, for Your goodness. This is the day You have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You, Almighty God, for the joy You bring into my life.

The sun shined on his face like God’s true love. Thank You for giving me the strength to wake up this early. My spirit is willing, but my flesh is weak.

Josek paused for a moment. His eyes closed for what seemed like a really long blink. Actually, my spirit isn’t willing either. It wants to go back to sleep, so can You move upon Zebuluk’s feet to wake me up later?

Josek yawned again. Why are you waking me up this early anyway?

Because it’s not early, and we have to go, surely. Zebuluk replied.

Josek rolled back over in a vain attempt to bury his head. Argh. I hate mornings. Mornings wouldn’t be so bad if they came later in the day, like maybe after noon.

Zebuluk flicked the lights on and off again with his boots. If mornings came later in the day, days would have to come with a warning, ‘cause a good day couldn’t start without a good morning.

Josek pulled his covers over his head. Good, then don’t call them mornings. Call them afternoon and wake me up then.

Josek rolled over hoping to get a few more moments of sleep. Where are we going anyway this early?

To the Godrock mines, and it’s not early time.

Zebuluk couldn’t fool Josek. Josek knew it was early. He could feel it. It felt earlier than early. It was early even if it wasn’t early.

Josek yawned again. He was trying to wake up, but it wasn’t working. Like a hovercraft that won’t start on a cold winter day, Josek couldn’t bring himself to fully wake up. Why are we going back to the Godrock mines?

Stop whining. Father said someone wants to buy a truckload of Godrocks, so we have to go mining.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Jaykek’s family mined Godrocks and used them as a power supply for spacecraft, hovercraft, Godswords and just about anything else that needed power. Little did they know, Saitak had found a way to use the power of Godrocks for a more nefarious purpose.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Josek finally popped his eyes open. You’re pretty good at rhyming. Maybe you should record a song. I’d buy it.

Zebuluk dropped his feet to the ground and stood upright a little dizzy with a pink face from all the blood rushing to his head. Rubek’s Godsword shines red. My Godsword shines blue. Ever wonder what color your Godsword will shine for you?

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

God swords, better known as Godswords, were powerful swords of glowing energy powered by Godrocks. They were the weapons of choice for Shaddai Warriors, followers of the one true God.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Josek ran his fingers through his hair like a comb. Never. Whatever color God chooses for me will be the best color for me. I trust Him.

Josek smiled. I prayed for blue though.

He paused. As long as it isn’t like Simeok’s, I’ll be thankful.

They both laughed. Does he even use it?

They laughed again. Josek had been waiting a long time for the chance to earn his Godsword. That day would come sooner than he thought.

Josek tossed off his bed sheet and sat up shirtless. His pajama pants were only long enough to cover his calves.

Zebuluk smirked. You need new pajamas.

Yeah, I’ve kinda outgrown these, but they are sooooo comfortable I don’t want to get rid of them. I have lots of memories in these pajamas. They are sentimental.

Zebuluk walked toward a wall with a vid poster of the previous Universal Galaxy Champion. Under the UGC logo, a warrior wearing silver and blue armor which resembled homemade Shaddai Warrior armor posed with one hand stretched upward in a fist of victory. He had been the UGC champion for seven years.

The vid poster repeatedly played short vids showing the galactic champion slam down each of the seven contestants that led to his seven victories. The vid cycles ended in a splash screen of his name. ZOAR! Undefeated Champion!

The vid poster was several years old. Zoar was no longer the UGC Champion. He had vanished overnight.

Next to the Zoar vid poster was a graffiti covered wall which was a masterpiece in the making. Josek had spent many long, boring days painting words and pictures that meant nothing to anyone else, but held special meaning for him.

Next to the graffiti, an exit portal flickered.

Vwuuum. Zebuluk stepped halfway through the wall portal. He poked his head back into Josek’s bedroom. They are planning to leave without you again. So hurry up.

Zebuluk passed completely through the portal leaving Josek alone in his bedroom, which was actually an escape pod mounted in a tree.

    Chaktre 4

    TEN ROBOTS

Josek’s brothers prepared to go to the rock mines without Josek. Josek remained in bed, though at least he sat up now trying to wake up.

A D37 Dune Transport rumbled past the tree that held the escape pod which Josek lived in.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Dune Transports had six tires, two in the front and four in the back which allowed them to carry heavy loads.

The height of the tires lifted the Dune Transport high above the ground. With its high clearance, the Dune Transport could easily scale over small obstacles, cross shallow rivers, or wade through small lakes.

Thick armor covered most of the Dune Transport’s body. Behind the front seats was a mounted blaster.

    ===OOO===OOOOO===OOO===

Huge mud tires, nearly as tall as a person, left trails in the dirt behind the transport.

Josek’s brothers would have taken an HT Hover Transport, but a truckload of Godrocks was too heavy for hovercraft.

Vroom! Vroom! The revving of the Dune Transport’s engine reverberated through the walls of the escape pod Josek lived in.

The Dune Transport continued past a large spaceship with shrubbery planted around its perimeter. That was the house Josek’s family lived in.

Ten of Josek’s eleven brothers were going to the rock mines on Gedor, Hebrox’s moon. Benjamik, Joseph's only full brother and the youngest of the twelve sons of Jaykek stayed home with their father because he was too young.

Each of Josek’s brothers wore official Shaddai Warrior, light-weight, protective armor which they received when they became Shaddai Warriors. Each brother had an SW emblem on his chest located inside a hexagon. The color of the emblem was determined by the Shaddai Warrior who wore it. When activated, their Shaddai Warrior armor became much more.

Along with their protective armor, each Shaddai Warrior had a Godsword holstered to his thigh. Josek didn’t have either. He hadn’t become a Shaddai Warrior yet.

The Dune Transport stopped in front of a spaceship called ‘the Crustacean’ located beside the spaceship house. The Crustacean resembled the front half of a Horskshoe Crab’s shell with large thrusters at its rear.

Rubek pressed a button on the control panel at the back of the Crustacean. Its rear door folded open into a ramp. Simeok drove the Dune Transport into the Crustacean.

Simeok was the sekond oldest brother and the meanest. He had no concern for anyone but himself. He showed no mercy to others. He also liked to chew Bakkie and left a trail of well-aimed spit wherever he went.

Rubek stepped away from the spaceship. Load them up!

Leakey typed a six digit code into the hangar’s outer control panel, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 and pressed the ENTER button.

Pshhht. The door’s lock disengaged. The hangar door slid open.

Leaky stepped inside the hangar. Ten droiks coming up!
