Since then her books have consistently made finalist. With 15 novels in print, The Critic released in May 08 was a 4 1⁄2 stars Top Pick and was nominated for Romantic Times award for Best AA Romance Book of 2008. Dyanne is also published in Love Stories Magazines. Dyanne has been a presenter of numerous workshops. She hosts a local cable show, The Art of Writing, in her hometown to give writing tips to aspiring writers. She has guests from all genres to provide information and entertainment to the audience. She has hosted such notables as USA Today Best Selling erotica author, Robin Schone and New York Times bestselling author of the vampire huntress series L. A Banks. Dyanne writes under F. D. Davis for her new vampire series and ALL paranormal works. Her first vampire novel, In the Beginning was released in June of 2007 the second in the series, In Blood we Trust was released in November of 2008.     It's over.

    Serena Mitchell took a deep breath and released it, then she flopped on the couch and glanced at Julie Jackson, her best friend. Jules most of the time. At the moment Jules was staring at her , remaining quiet. The only sign that she was actually listening to her was the smirk of amusement on her lips. Serena arched a brow. Aren't you going to ask me, 'what's over?

    I know what’s over, your three-month no dating rule.

    There is a reason for that.

    Of course there is, Jules laughed out loud. You’ve always had this thing about when you end one relationship you have to give your heart a chance to heal before you go on another date.

    Exactly.

    But your heart wasn’t broken. Your heart has never been broken.

    No matter, you still need to have time so you don’t take any residual anger into the next relationship with you.

    Hmm. I’m guessing you have your next target picked out.

    Target? Come on. I have my next…shall we say…date picked out. I’ve actually known him for quite a while. We almost dated but the timing was always off. And because of all of that, I’ve researched him and he fits. No entanglements.

    So what’s the challenge? You only date guys who are a challenge.

    He has a career goal. He only goes out on group outings. No personal, committed relationships until he’s made manager of the ad agency where he works.

    I thought you said he'd asked you out.

    You're right. He has asked me out, but it was always to a company-sponsored event.

    Julie gave Serena an amused look. Is that the reason you think he doesn't date? That's not very much to go on.

    There are other things. Look, I did my research. His job is the most important thing in his life. Women have been relegated as unimportant in his grand design.

    He sounds like the male version of you.

    Serena winced. While she was aware her friend was making a joke, albeit at her expense, it hit a cord and caused Serena a momentary pang of anguish. That's not true, she said softly.

    Well, of course it is. You just don't want to admit it.

    Serena didn't have an answer for that so she decided to say nothing. She merely stared at her friend making sure her displeasure
