Heather Beck
Heather Beck is a Canadian Author and Screenwriter who began writing professionally at the age of sixteen. Since then she has written eleven well-reviewed books, including the best-selling series, The Horror Diaries, which has sold in six continents. Heather received an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from university where she specialized in English and studied an array of disciplines. Currently, she is working on the Frostbitten series and has two anthologies slated for publication. As a screenwriter, Heather has multiple television shows and movies in development. Her short films include: Young Eyes, The Rarity, Too Sensible For Love, Circular, and the forthcoming Witch’s Brew. Besides writing, Heather’s greatest passion is the outdoors. She is an award-winning fisherwoman and a regular hiker. Her hobbies include swimming, playing badminton and volunteering with non-profit organizations.

Seventeen-year-old Jill McTavish applied one last coat of raspberry lip gloss before stepping back and admiring herself in the mirror. She smiled at her reflection, wholly satisfied with the green eyed, strawberry-blonde haired girl who was staring back at her.
Just try to resist me, Jack, Jill thought as she sauntered out of her house and toward the beach. She was wearing her signature knock ‘em dead outfit which consisted of a white halter top, a denim skirt and flip-flops that were accentuated by perfectly pedicured nails.
Jill hadn’t always been this confident. Even though she was smart, athletic and had great relationships with her family and friends, she’d often felt shy and was almost reluctant to believe all the wonderful attributes that people insisted she possessed. Then along came Jack and everything changed.
Jack was one of the most popular boys at South Palm High School. He wasn’t the captain of any sports team nor was he the cool rebel who girls dreamed of turning into boyfriend material. Instead of being an archetype, Jack was just himself – someone who was compassionate, friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand.
