Understanding why people do what they do is an essential skills to have. When you understand why the people around you do what they do, you are able to avoid a lot of drama and conflict.

Throughout history society has had a profound influence in people's actions

This book was written to fulfill a simple mission: to educate people from all walks of life about the importance and application of social psychology in their day-to-day lives.

This book was not written to make science intimidating, not to mention boring. The aim is to show how a serious and legitimate science like social psychology could be easily understood and appreciated by non-psychology majors, practically by every ‘man on the street’.

Are you any of the following?

  • Simply curious about how human minds work, especially in a group or social setting, but won’t bother digging complicated science stuff
  • Wants to have something productive to do during free time, regardless of what it is
  • A freshman/woman in a general psychology major
  • Undecided on what major to take in university/college

If any, this book is for you!

    Social Psychology - Jonny Bell

    Why I Wrote This Book

    I wrote this book because...

I wrote this book in hopes of making social psychology ‘reacheable’ to every person who wants to learn the basics of this science, and to any person who simply wants a to-go e-book in his mobile to randomly read during his usual train or bus ride.

I am hoping that through this relatively short e-book, I could help several members of the modern society to realize their potentials in achieving greater heights, particularly in science and psychology.

But why social psychology in particular?

My passion for this special branch of psychology stemed from a basic human nature: curiousity.

I have been always that little kid who was curious about everything and anything around him. But despite my wild curiosity about life in general, I have also deviated from being spoon-fed with information. I wanted to know things first-hand; I quenched my thirst for more knowledge through reading.

Of the many sciences we have today, social psychology has touched my curious mind in a way that cannot be denied. There is this burning desire to analyze social situations and impacts even further; to study how humans develop socially; and to look at how we can make co-existence a life worth living.

Why You Should Read This Book

    This book will help you...

As I have stated earlier, this book was specially written for people who have few to zero background in social psychology.

Are you any of the following?

    1. Simply curious about how human minds work, especially in a group or social setting, but won’t bother digging complicated science stuff

    2. Wants to have something productive to do during free time, regardless of what it is

    3. A freshman/woman in a general psychology major

    4. Undecided on what major to take in the university or in college

    5. Undecided on which of the thousands of e-books you should try out

    6. Who was given this book as a gift.

Regardless if you belong to any of the descriptions above, I would already like to thank you for picking this book written by yours truly.

I believe that apart from either boredom or curiosity, your drive to read the entirety of this social psychology book for starters should include - wanting to
