About this ebook

Heat Rating: Hot

Attorney Brianna Le Roux hates to be forced to do anything. However, when her grandfather retires and makes her a partner she realizes there was more to the promotion—like setting her up for marriage. Not only is her new client a gorgeous royal pain, he’s a wolf—and in possession of the heirloom necklace which is rightfully hers. Of course, he is more than willing to give her the jewelry; all she has to do is agree to be his wife.

Playboy and club owner Jarred Forester will do anything to get out of the marital clause in his father’s will—until he meets his sexy attorney. Marriage may not be so bad after all. The sexual chemistry is off the chart, but he needs to prove she’s more than an exit strategy to get the land he wants. Easier said than done. Somehow, he has to convince the beauty they were destined to be.

    Dear Reader,

Thank you for purchasing Her Wolf Soul Mate. This book originally launched back in 2006 as Kiss of the Wolf in a two-story anthology. After some encouraging by friends and family, and some debate on my part, I decided to make some major changes and re-release the story as a novella. Somewhere in this quest, the word count doubled, and I gave both Jarred and Brianna a chance to tell the story in more detail.

Needless to say, after the revisions and changes, the basic story was there, but it turned out to be a completely different read. I really hope you enjoy Jarred and Brianna’s story as much as I did revisiting and revising their tale. Like life... there are three sides to every story, his side, her side and the truth.

    ~Best,

    JT

    Chapter 1

Brianna Le Roux woke slowly, feeling the strum of a dull ache as it crossed her forehead. Cradling the pain in the softness of her pillow, she inhaled the deliciously manly scent that lingered there.

    Man? What the...?

Struggling to open her eyes, she found the simple task required too much effort. Her lashes apparently weighed a ton this morning. She tasted last night’s alcohol on her tongue and the chewed cotton ball sensation, which accompanied over indulgence. Brianna tried to think beyond the headache and piece her evening together.

A celebration. Her grandfather’s retirement and she being named full law partner at Le Roux and Lamb. The new strappy shoes from Saks, the dance club, the shots of tequila, the sexy man in Armani. Nothing else came to her.

Too much to drink, too much dancing, and too much flirting with the man she couldn’t remember, but had obviously taken home to bed. She groaned and rolled onto her back, covering her face with the intoxicatingly male scented pillow. She shouldn’t have partied so hard last night. Not when she was determined to do a great job as the new partner and make her grandfather proud. She owed her grandfather that and much more.

A fleeting image of the stranger flashed through her mind. Though she couldn’t remember his face, the smell on her bedding was a sexy reminder of the night she shared with him. Brianna drew in a deep breath as she searched the back of her eyelids for his face. The scent of him was...different, manly—but earthy and dark too. In spite of the headache and her exhaustion, sudden desire shot through her body.

She groaned out loud. How could she feel desire for a nameless, faceless, stranger?  She stretched out her hand and felt the space next to her on the queen size bed.

    Nope. She was alone.

Typical! Of course she would pick a man who wouldn’t even stick around until morning. Wolves. All of them were wolves.

    So forget you, sexy stranger.

Still, it had been a long time since she’d had a man in her bed or indulged in anything resembling a sexual escapade.

She rarely dated, couldn’t remember when her last real relationship was—or even one that consisted of a casual dinner more than three times with the same guy. Career wise she was brilliant, determined and successful. Her personal life was...something tragic and bordered on pathetic. Because of the dull ache at her temples, she couldn’t think of what to compare it too, except a sad situation.

Yanking the pillow from her face, Brianna decided now was as good time as any to force her eyes open and stop wallowing in her lack–of–love-life pity party. She lifted her eyelids
