About this ebook
Shira Pravoloni is positive her sweet, though often meddling ma has officially flipped her noodle. Not only does she want Shira’s wedding blessed by the Pope, she is going to help find a man for her, since Shira isn’t even dating. In an attempt to dodge her mother she runs out of her office and into the hunkiest man she has ever seen. He not only rescues her from her ma but after a few dates and a few kisses, soon gets her thinking there might be worse fates than marriage.
Joseph Pocente works--that’s all he does. Unless, getting a lecture from his mother about not being married constitutes as a hobby. The more time he spends with Shira, the more he realizes maybe marriage wouldn’t be so bad. When he finds out she is getting married, it’s a recipe for disaster. He has to stop her from marrying someone other than him.
Toss in some crazy family members, a boxing match and a ravioli-craving priest and it is the wackiest race to the altar, the only question remains, who will be the groom?

Dear Reader,
This book was originally launched back in 2007 as Holy Ravioli and has always been one of my favorite romantic comedies. So I decided to dust off the manuscript and revise it significantly so I could share it with my readers.
The story of Joe and Shira is a wrapped around family. Though both characters come from Italian families, anyone who comes from a large family will understand the craziness they endure.
Joe has no intention of getting married anytime soon until he ends up saving Shira from her marriage-crazed ma.
Shira doesn’t want her overbearing and often too protective ma meddling in her love life. She wants to meet and fall in love the old fashioned way—much like they did in old Hollywood movies.
Thank you for purchasing Rings & Ravioli. I hope you enjoy this fun story.
~Best,
JT

Chapter One
I have great news! The Pope is coming to the city and can bless your wedding.
The Italian ma stood on the threshold of the door she had flung open seconds earlier wearing a radiant expression while delivering her public announcement.
Shira Pravoloni blinked at her mother who was hovering on the edge of the boardroom. Clearing her throat, she smiled at her sweet and often over attentive mother. Ma, what a lovely surprise.
She pivoted in her chair and glanced to the head of the table where her father Franco sat. Dad?
She went to mass this morning,
he informed from the corner of his mouth as he waved to the intrusion.
Glancing to the executive members of the Pravoloni Ravioli Company, she was thankful they were used to the antics of Mary Guinevere Pravoloni and all looked sympathetic. It was either that or they were biting back laughter. It was hard to say.
She darted another look to her father. Run,
he mouthed.
Turning back to her mother, dread filled her soul. Ma, um, this is great but I’m not getting married. In fact, I’m not even dating.
She rose from her seat and smoothed her hands down her skirt. Now that we have established that, what are you doing here?
What?
Her mother tossed one of her hands heavenward while the other clutched a brown bag. She walked further into the room. I brought your father his lunch. It’s meatball Monday.
Of course it is.
Now, because I love my baby girl,
she said as she sat the brown bag in front of her husband and clapped her hands together, I have the solution to our problem.
Shira winced, this was going from bizarre to worse. Uh... What problem?
Her mother patted Shira’s shoulder. The no wedding problem.
Oh dear!
Her father threw down his pen as her ma started to pace.
Oh dear is right. Ma, can we discuss this later, like after the board meeting?
No, we can discuss this now. It’s no secret, Shira, that you’re beautiful and have great birthing hips. Yet, despite the short skirts, you have no man.
She smiled and wagged a finger at her. I found the solution and I have just the man.
Now would be a good time to take my advice,
her father whispered. Run.
Fighting the whimper in her throat, she stepped away from the table. You know Ma, this sounds divine.
Slowly, she sidestepped towards the door, showing no fear and not breaking eye contact with the marriage-crazed woman that had brought her into the world. Let me just run—I mean go to the powder room and we’ll pick up this conversation the minute I get back.
Thank you. Finally, you listen to my ideas.
She pushed her way to the table and pulled out one of the leather swivel chairs. I’ll wait right here for you.
Perfect.
Shira smiled and reached for the door handle. With the determined joy on her ma’s face, it
