I want to thank you and congratulate you for downloading, "Paleo Happy Hour: The Paleo Approach to Small Plates, Appetizers, and Drinks with Friends".
This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to become a sociable Paleoite.
Embarking on any major lifestyle change is no easy feat and in this regard the Paleo diet is no different. For someone who has been raised on grains and dairy excluding these products from your diet is hard and takes extraordinary strength and willpower. Furthermore, since most of the social aspects of our lives are largely centered around food and drink, resisting all the delicious treats on offer is nothing short of a gargantuan task!
This book contains tons of tasty recipes for food and drink for when you’re entertaining at home, or bringing a dish for a party, and I think you’re going to love it. However, before we dive into the recipes we need to address the elephant in the room
- having a social life outside your own living room or the living rooms of your other Paleo friends.

Eating out and socializing when you are on the Paleo diet can be a challenge, but it is not impossible if you know how. Yes, it does require a bit more effort and planning on your part, but since it’s your health we are talking about, it’s well worth the extra effort to keep on the Paleo track. Whether you are travelling, unable to cook at home for whatever reason or simply just want to enjoy a night out every now and again, here is what you need to know.
Firstly, you need to do your research when picking your restaurant. With the rise in food allergies, intolerances and sensitivities, there are a number of restaurants that now offer allergy-free meals as a staple on the menu. Try to see if you can find one of these in your area. If not, try to find places that serve organic produce and only grass-fed meat (or at the very least locally sourced options).
Many places that serve hamburgers for example will offer a lettuce wrap alternative on their menu or bun-less burgers. Some places will allow you to build your meal, so you can request exactly what you like and how you would like it prepared. By and large, most places are more than happy to accommodate special requests if you politely explain you have food allergies.
Another good option is to find a place you like and build a relationship with the staff there through regular patronage. They will be more willing to cater to your requests if you are a regular
