The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is an epic high fantasy and adventure novel.
The Lord of the Rings series is composed of three volumes entitled The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.
The novels were first released in United Kingdom, and were written in the English language.
Lord of the Rings was first published by George Allen & Unwin. Allen & Unwin is an independent Australian publishing company that was established in 1976.
Lord of the Rings was published on July 29, 1954, The Fellowship of the Ring on November 11, 1954, and The Twin Towers on 20 October 1955.
The story of The Lord of the Rings began as a sequel to Tolkien's 1937 novel The Hobbit. Over time, it developed to become a much larger work.
The original manuscripts of The Lord of the Rings are 9,250 pages long. They are currently housed in the J.R.R. Tolkien collection at Marquette University.
Allen &Unwin had first published the books in 1954, several months apart from each other. The story was completed in 1949 but to years before
