About this ebook
Hey! Ever wonder how much ice cream it would take to power a machine that would teleport you to the top of Mount Everest? This book answers this question and other much less silly questions, too.
Energy is a really interesting concept in basic physics that can be used to calculate all kinds of things. Often times it's easier to use energy than other strategies that involve kinematics or Newton's Laws.
If you're taking AP Physics, or basic college physics, this book will be a great introduction for you.
This book is different from other physics books because it uses a lot fewer words. Concepts are presented visually, and after each concept there are worked examples and practice problems. Also included are links to fun science experiments, youtube videos, articles, and flashcards. Because physics is a lot of fun to do.
This book would also be a great review tool if you wanted to start with the practice problems and then read the explanations if you get stuck.

Work, Energy, and Power - Sarah Allen
Work, Energy, and Power
Welcome to this tutorial on energy. This is an introduction to some of the basics of conservation of energy, work, and power.
If there are any parts in here that don’t make sense, please email me at SarahAllenPhysics@gmail.com
so I can improve it! I’m constantly editing all of the tutorials based on feedback I get from readers.
If you like the book and would like to hear about free promotions and new releases, subscribe to my mailing list here. Plus, I’ll send you a really cute fluid mechanics study sheet (I realize that’s kind of random because this book isn’t about fluid mechanics, I’m still making the rest of them):
A note about links: There are a ton of amazing resources online; great YouTube videos, blog posts, and simulations, and I wanted to include them here in this book so that you can do more than just read about physics. However, I’m sure these links will break at some point. So, if you come across a broken one, please email me and I’ll fix it. Also, I’ve included the title and author of every link, so you should still be able to find them by searching.
