      Great sentimental book about a mother saying the same thing to her son every night and when she can no longer because she is so old, her son then holds her and says the saying to her and then he does it to his son.

      This book will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first book I read to my daughter when she was born. I have to fight the tears every time I read it, but I love it. It's a great book to show the dynamic between a mother and child - as well as the inevitable circle of life.

      This book is about a loving mother who watches over her son. Through the good times and bad she always loves her baby. This book shows that a mother's love in unconditional and that family is very important. It teaches you the value of love and family.

      When I was a little girl, my mother used to read this book to me very often. In my opinion, this picture book is great for parents to read to their children. One of the reasons I really enjoy this book is because of the overall message it gives to the reader. That message is that you're never too old to remind your children or your parents how much you truly love them. The author is able to convey how much the mother in this book loves her son. Another reason this book is enjoyable is because when the mother gets very old, the son comes to her side and sings the same song that his mother used to sing to him all throughout his life. And then when he has a child of his own, he sings that song to his baby in order to express the love he has for him/her.

      I absolutely adored this book!!! It is one of my favorites along with Little Effie's Book Of Poetry by Nina Jean Slack, The Junie B. Jones series by Barbara Park and many more...too many to name. But this book made me smile so much. Love you forever is a must read.

      This is possibly one of the sweetest books from my childhood. It follows the cronological relationship of a mother and her son from his infancy to her old age. Through every stage of their lives, no matter what they may be going through at the time, the mother reminds her sone that she will love him forever. Then as the mother ages, the son finds it his turn to care for her.I think I cry everytime I read this book. It speaks volumes to the love between a parent and their child.

      This is a lovely old story about a mom's love for her son through his life. Then, the son demonstrates the love for his mom by taking care of her when she gets old. Beautiful story and illustrations! It teaches kids about caring and loving each other and about family relationships.Reading Journal: counts as 1 Picture Book.

      This is one of my favorite childhood books, reading it just now brought a tear to my eye. Every night, a mother goes into her little boy's room and sings, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, My baby you'll be." Even when the boy is all grown up, the mother doesn't stop loving him. Eventually, the mom is too old, and the grown boy goes and sings to his mom, and then his own daughter. This is a very endearing book, and every parent should read it to their children.

      Summary:This book is about a mother who sings to her child at night every night despite his age or behavior even when he grows old and moves out she still finds a way to sing to her son and when she grows old and can no longer hold him and sing to him he holds his mother sings this special song to her that she has sang to him every night and then goes home to start the tradition with his daughter. Person Reaction:I found this to be a very touching story about a parent's relationship and love for their child. It made me have more respect for my mother especially with her being a single parent also (though it never says the mother is a single parent is never shows or mentions a father or father figure).Classroom Extension Ideas:1. While reading this story to a classroom you could teach the children the song so they could sing along while you read the book 2. You could read this book to children on mother's day and depending on the age group maybe make them have a greater respect for their mother's and they could also try to come up with a song or poem for their mothers.

      I will love you forever, I will like you always, as long as your living my baby you'll be. A mother sings this to her new born baby boy. As this little boy grows and grows his mother continues to rock him and sing the song. Even when he is an adult and moved out she would drive just to rock him. As the mother grew older she became very sick and could even finsh the song while she was on the phone with her son. So he drives to his mother and picks her up in his arms and rocks and sings the song. When he gets home he goes to a room and picks up his baby girl and then sings the same song his mother sung to him. This book teaches children about love. It shows that no matter how much you grow your parents will always love you.

      This book is realistic fiction and done in colored pencil. In this story, a new baby boy is born to a mother who loves him very much. Every night she sings a special song to him. As he grows older, he drives his mother crazy, but no matter how old he gets, the mother sings her special song to him. The boy grows and grows until he has his own home and family. His mother gets older and very sick, and then the man sings the special song to his mother. Then, he begins to sing the song to his own baby girl. This book is a good example of realistic fiction because it includes real-life themes like love, family, and growing up. The things that happen in the book are plausible and the illustrations are realistic. The book is very relative to many different groups of people. This book is set mostly in the boy and his mother's home. The illustrations make it most believable and easily relative for many people. The home is sometimes messy, with the little boy causing trouble as he grows up. It is also a very personal home, meaning that there are human artifacts all throughout. This aspect of the book, making the setting most believable, reinforces the realistic fiction genre. Use: This book could be used for primary grades in discussions about families. This book could be used in discussions about growing up.

      I would read this book to any grade level, although I do believe older children understand the concept better. This book is also predictable and has a repeating chorus. It's good for children because it show a perspective of a parents everlasting love for their child.

      This is a touching book that can really bring a parent and their child together. My mother used to read this story to me all the time when I was younger with the text "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as your living, my baby you'll be" stuck in my head. This story shows the passion a mother has for caring for her son from when he was a baby all the way up to an adult. The story ends with the son taking care of his mother the way she would take care of him.

Although Munch's books almost always make you laugh, this one will make you cry.A great book to give your mom on mother's day, or an expectant mom at a baby shower.It is a great bedtime story to read to your little one.......WARNING: Sudden desire to purchase high ladder at Home Depot is a side effect of this book!

      This book is a great story about how much a mother loves her son and will always love him. As the boy is young she rocks him to sleep and tells him that she will love him forever. It shows how their relationship changes as he grows older but her love for him never changes. In the end the son tucks his mother in the way she always did with him. This book is great to show how much a parent loves their child unconditionally and could be used to show children that it doesn't change as they get older.

In my high school yearbook the parents can by a page for their child and send in baby pictures and my mom sent my baby picture with the message, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, Always my baby you'll be." I plan to read this book to my children.Classroom Extension Ideas:1. Make cards to your mother to show how much you love her.2. Could be used when talking about families in the classroom.

      I've never heard of this book before until I watched a Friend's episode where the character Joey does a read-aloud on parts of this book. But from what I hear/see, It looks like it's quite popular. I read it for the first time this semester and I thought that it was adorable. I can see how people can get emotional over it. I think it started out great and ended great as well, the middle part was a little weird when the kid becomes a man, and his mom would go to his house and climb up through the window to rock him. But the idea behind this repeated verse, which just shows the magnitude of love, going on through time and then returned is what's so captivating. It sends a great message and I would definitely recommend parents to pick this book up and read it for their kids.

      Jake's Review: Mom cries every-time she reads this and I don't get why. The story is kinda funny and the pictures are cool too, but its kinda creepy the way that the Dad rocks the old mom. It sort of makes me sad too.Jake's Rating: 6/10Mom's Review: Don't get me started I cry like a baby each time I read this. So sensitively written, yet funny at the same time, Munsch is at his very best here. Lets face it though, this one was written for the parents and not the kids -- although when they are very young they get a kick out of the pictures and the rhymes. The artwork is exceptional and so beautifully detailed. Each time I look through it I notice something little that I never noticed before. This is the PERFECT gift for new parents - they will love you and hate you for it. This is all about Unconditional love people -- don't psychoanalyze it too much and its not creepy its beautiful - now someone get me a frickin tissue.Mom's Rating: 10/10

      This book is great to read to a toddler or an elementary school reader. My mother read this book to me when I was younger and we also read this book over and over again. I think every child will connect with this book just because we know our parents will love us no matter what we do!
