      never think that i enjoyed this ,but hell...i love it!! the snake tongue and spider hands kinda creepy but it grows on you.♡.. cant wait to read the rest of the series.. must read.

      I loved this story. In a genre dominated with stereotypes on femininity and masculinity, Fletcher creates a space for a fuller spectrum of gender and personality to shine. Sure, there's a lot of sex, but it's paired with quality character and plot development.

      There are so many twists and turns to this story! You're in for quite the literary adventure if you like kickass women, fierce aliens, raunchy humor, and a surprising dosage of philosophy.

      This is one fan who is eager waiting for Wyn's story.

      Great writing voice totally engages reader.... In what is otherwise a very overdone plot/trope.

      ((SPOILER ALERT)!): The first half of the book made promises to the reader that I felt weren't kept and made this book feel inconsistent: starting in a gritty world with a strong alpha bang (no pun intended) and going out with multiple beta sizzle. the poly relationship/ménage about 1/2 to 2/3 in really felt a surprise. Nothing prepared me for this and I found it jarring. It really felt like the second half of the book was another novel. Since the novel was so long it could easily have been split into different books or edited more rigorously to provide a more consistent reader experience.

      But kudos also to the writer for discussing consent issues from the beginning of the book (this is an important issue). It just felt like this (as well as other plot developments) could have been handled differently and/or alluded to earlier in the book in order to keep up the characterization, atmosphere and tension.

      Overall I did enjoy this book and will search for more from this author. There is a lifetime's worth of potential and talent to grow.

      (It's actually been a few months since I have read this. I think I might re-read and see if my opinion has changed for the better or worse.)

      This story is awesome! I love a story that tries to wrap up all the loose ends...that being said I want to read more of Thunderclaw!...I loved the heart warming story of love across the galaxy and the vibrancy of the "King" is such a draw to see if he can find a woman to tame him?

      All in all this was quite a good book. It had everything I want out of a sci-fi romance. It's a nice frivolous read and nice and long so you can put it down and come back to it without having to buy more and more and more, and if you lose your spot, that's OK too.
      I'm definitely looking for more of Penelope's books to see if they are just as good. We don't always want a book that will take all our IQ points to remember, or a 9 book series that we have to wait for a year to find out what happens next. We just want to have some fun :)

      3.5 stars really. At over 800pgs, I felt it was a little long and dragged in places. I almost quit reading but I stayed with it because I wanted to know how it ended.

      Wow! Really enjoyed reading this book, even though there were parts where I felt like hitting the heroin but in the end she surprised me. Would definitely enjoy reading the next book
