About this ebook

At various times we have heard Christian teachers whom we respect greatly teaching that God’s sovereignty in election and man’s free will to accept or reject Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls can only be reconciled in the mind of God. We were never satisfied with such a teaching. Fortunately God has graciously showed us how He could elect certain people to be saved from the eternal consequences of their sin and yet maintain the position that people make their own choice to believe or not believe in Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. The two positions seem diametrically opposed but nevertheless they are both true and as seen in the book, are quite easily reconciled in the Word of God.

Author

Randy Polley

Randy Polley had a point in his life when he knew he was going to Hell because of his sin. He realized that no amount of good living, church attendance, good works, good character or anything else he could do would save him from Hell. When he died he would go to Hell and there was nothing he could do about it. Then in one moment he saw “But that’s it, Christ died for sin. Because of Christ I will not go to Hell.” In that moment God saved him and made him a child of God. Randy spent many years in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico involved in pastoral work in a local non-denominational evangelical Christian assembly. He has also spoken at Christian conferences in Mexico as well as various local assemblies in Canada, the USA, the Caribbean and Venezuela. Randy presently lives with his wife and three children in Ontario, Canada.

Good read, persuasive, but feeling like some explanations could have been more complete.

I would like to thank God my Father and my Lord Jesus Christ who through the Spirit of God enlightened my darkened mind, saved my lost soul from Hell and gave me a new life through faith in Jesus Christ. They are the most beautiful beings one could ever know, pure light and pure love. There are none more beautiful than them. If there be any truth in this book it comes from them and all credit is theirs.

The Reconciliation

The following considers the reconciliation between God’s sovereignty in election and man’s free will to accept or reject Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. We will see from the Word of God that God chooses to save some
