About this ebook

First published in 1934 and revised in 1962, this book gathers journalist and historian Joel Augustus Rogers' columns from the syndicated newspaper feature titled Your History. Patterned after the look of Ripley's popular Believe It or Not the multiple vignettes in each episode recount short items from Rogers's research. The feature began in the Pittsburgh Courier in November 1934 and ran through the 1960s.

J.A. Rogers

J.A. Rogers was an anthropologist and historian whose pioneering work in Black Studies was little appreciated during his lifetime. Among his many books are Superman to Man and Sex and Race. World's Great Men of Color was completed in 1947 but was published only in a small private edition. This edition has been brought up to date with an introduction, commentaries, and bibliographical notes by John Henrik Clarke, editor of Malcolm X: The Man and His Times and Harlem, U.S.A.

The smallest little book that you simply must have, ever...packed with amazing, truly, mostly non published factorial lines regarding world african history on several continents.... after your eyes run thoroughly dry from absorbing all the wonderful things the blacks have contributed to the planet since the beginning of time, you'll simply want more...let this be catalyst to your long lost journey.....

This book was is heavily informing; it leads you into the "Sex and Race Volumes." I highly recommend duplicating the tab and having the explanations open as well as the basic information.
