      I loved it and I want a Lucas in my life. Passion, cuteness until you can't see straight, funny, angsty and a roller coaster of emotions just sweeping through your mind while reading this. Amazing.

      I adored this book. ADORED.

      Why??

      It was simple, it was happy, it was filled with happy and life lessons and self-discovery.

      That last part? The self-discovery? That's what took it from good to great.

      Yes, the story was good.

      Yes, the characters were fun and lovely.

      But Mia slowly coming out of the list making, OCD shell she had shoved herself into? That was great.

      And Lucas, sweet, sweet, wonderful Lucas. The way he gently pushed Mia to be in the now instead of in her lists and plans...sigh. He was just lovely.

      And the sex. Dear lord, the sex! Here's where I get all mama bird on you all. Even if you don't read the whole book...read the first sex scene. Then, listen to me: Every woman deserves sex like that.

      Do you need me to repeat that?

      Ok.

      Every woman deserves sex like that.

      It wasn't kinky. It wasn't dramatic. It wasn't bodice ripping, shoved up against a door, bent over a table, pounded until the bed breaks sex.

      It was slow, and reverent and hot and sexy and amazing.

      And if you don't have sex like that, at least once in a while (I am realistic, it's not all the time!) then you are missing out. And you deserve more. Mia had her eyes ripped wide open on what she had been missing during that encounter. It's something that is not to be missed. Listen to Kate.

      Ok... so now that I have gone all Dr. Ruth on you. I will wrap up with this:

      Read the book. Enjoy the book. Sigh a happy sigh at the end and then go have you Lucas sex. You deserve it.

After the shock and humiliation of being dumped wears off, Mia decides her best friends are right and she should look at the bright side . . .from her hotel room in Paris Determined to enjoy her time abroad, even if it is alone, Mia wanders around taking in all the sights and sounds of the City of Lights. Too bad she also has to take in the sight of every effing couple in love and all their tiny little romantic moments. Pushed to her limit and determined to fly home the very next day, Mia walks into a bar and orders wine, a lot of wine. Turns out, she also orders a personal tour guide in the way of the scruffy yet totally hot bartender by the name of Lucas. Mia’s time with Lucas is nothing short of eye-opening, incredible, fantastic, panty-dropping awesome and most unexpected. Lucas has an incredible knowledge of the city (and a great many other things!), he is interesting, witty, funny, sarcastic and seems to have a real interest in Mia. Touched by his time and effort to help her enjoy Paris and move beyond the debacle that was to be her wedding, Mia is more than surprised to find herself feeling stuff (the naughty stuff!) for Lucas and not wanting her time with him to end. Turns out, Lucas is feeling much the same and for the next seven days Mia and Lucas are virtually inseparable.The inseparable part is one of the highlights of Frenched!! Not only is Mia absolutely adorable - some of the stuff she says in her inner monologue is laugh out loud funny – but Lucas is lickably hot and all kinds of sexy smooth. Lucas is so into Mia that it scares and confuses him as much as it does Mia and in an effort to ignore what they are both feeling, they have lots and lots and lots and lots of mind-blowing sex!! Seriously, I think some of the scenes might have actually blown my mind too Under all the steamy hotness that is the sex, there are still the feelings that are growing between the Mia and Lucas and eventually they know they will have to acknowledge those feelings and deal with the inevitability of their parting. The Bottom Line: It wouldn’t be good enough to say that I loved this read so let me go a little further. Harlow has a real knack for creating believable and relatable characters that do what everyone in the world does, tries to muddle their way through emotions and life in the best way possible. Mia and Lucas find themselves in a whirlwind affair that made me laugh and cry – yes, I said cry – and root from them from the moment they met. There is an inordinately large amount of sex (YAY!!!) in this book but Harlow manages, brilliantly, to vary it enough that each scene is fresh and exciting and in no way repetitive. Furthermore, the sex never overshadows or threatens to overtake the plot but becomes an integral part of it. In fact, the sex and the plot are seamlessly connected and one wouldn’t really survive without the other. In all, I found Frenched to be a ridiculously good read that I have already contemplated reading again. There are so many fine moments – both happy and sad – that pulled me in and had me totally immersed in Mia and Lucas’s world. I know it’s early in the year but I truly think Frenched is already on my list of top reads for 2014!!!P.S. I LOVE lists too P.P.S. A note about the cover: the cover is just about as awesome as it can get and as an added bonus, it is actually a visual of one of the scenes in the book!!!
