Author

Miranda Lee

After leaving her convent school, Miranda Lee briefly studied the cello before moving to Sydney, where she embraced the emerging world of computers. Her career as a programmer ended after she married, had three daughters and bought a small acreage in a semi-rural community. She yearned to find a creative career from which she could earn money. When her sister suggested writing romances, it seemed like a good idea. She could do it at home, and it might even be fun! She never looked back.

It was boring. I should have listened to the reviews, hoping it would get better. Total waste of time, really.

A child is dumped on Mac and he sets out to find the mother only to learn he has got the wrong woman. Now they are stuck on an island during a storm and have to wait for transportation to get back to the mainland so Mac can track down the right woman. Of course, the problem is he has fallen for Banner and little Ellie. What is a man to do?I enjoyed this story. Mac is curmudgeonly. Banner is reserved. They are an interesting combination. Add in Ellie and her muteness and an unusual bond is created between the three which I hoped would become more. Fortunately all worked out in the end and I got what I wanted. I always enjoy Dixie Browning's stories.
