      This story authorize men to be possessive and violent with women. I really hope women would be not so weak in front of a man brutality. Hopefully you don't think Italian men are all like this ... man. Bad book. Is the writer really a woman?

      I love how the H realized he can’t live without the h. He also spent time and effort looking for her. This is a reread so that means I enjoyed it.

      Again this type of stories are appealing for the steaming scenes, and there is the whole 'become my mistress or else' premise, which is a little interesting sometimes but, let's be honest, becomes old very soon, plus it is the premise of many many other stories. I was invested into the story because the heroine was really genuine, I could totally relate to her pain, she was in a bubble of anxiety and was overwhelmed by her mother's condition, not only was she dreading the day when she no longer could be with her mother but she was also drained from working all week and spending weekends taking care of her mother plus having to literally beg her scrupleless father to go visit his wife. That is something anyone could go through, and let's not forget the trauma her father caused her at 18. To be fair her mom was very spineless, she knew what kind of man she married and still expected him to come through, making her daughter feel miserable and inducing her to go to great lengths to get him to go visit her. As for the mc, they always paint as having had a hard past, but guess what? Everyone is touched by trauma/sadness. Exhibit A: Sally. She freaking stuttered as a child from trauma, but she held her head high and did not go into the world demanding everyone vow to her wishes. I honestly hate when the mc man conveniently ignores what the woman is going through and just flashes into her life takes what he wants than later comes back with a vengence for more. He does not redeem himself enough in my eyes.

      It was a "rich man takes a mistress" story, but the heroine actually has a spine. She was already strongly attracted to him, shared passionate kisses before the blackmail routine. Then, when the blackmail comes into play, she adds stipulations to their agreement, which keeps him from taking over her life completely.

      Wow was it a crazy story. I love the fact that she was actually not drunk love with his sex appeal. He was an ass and she told him so. Loved it.
