      Crystal PrescriptionsThe A-Z Guide to Over 1,200 Symptomsand Their Healing Crystalsby Judy HallThis book is a total must keep for the healing practioner and light worker. The format was set up so nicely, I was able to find quickly and easily exactly what stones were needed for what ailment. I learned so so much about the properties of the crystals. In my private practice I have always said to myself that there must be a stone for this or for that and it was nice to have it all laid out for me in one spirit based nugget. Because this enlightening reference book is listed by symptoms first and then our mineral kingdom's little helpers second I could jump right to the spot I needed and get the info in seconds. Part one was great it told me how to clean the gemstones, wonderful graphs showing me where to place the crystals and also a section on how to use the ailment directory. I would recommend this well presented and straightforward amazing assistant to anyone who is drawn to the healing properties of crystals. Thanks Judy, for shining your light so brightly.       Read all my reviews here! I am reviewing Judy Hall's Crystal Prescriptions Volume 6. Here are my thoughts:

      ^^ I love crystals and own quite a few of Judy Hall's books, my favourite being The Complete Crystal workshop, which also comes with a CD. I have also loved her "Crystal Bibles". This book I received as an ebook to review from NetGalley and is slightly different since it goes into great depth abo ut personal and family tree karmic healing and cleaning with crystals and all the layers this represents.

      ^^ Judy Hall knows her stuff and I found this 6th volume of this series to be a concise, well written book providing everything you need to know about Crystals For Ancestral Clearing, Soul Retrieval, Spirit Release And Karmic Healing. From screening, protecting your space and keeping your cyrstals in tip-top condition, to karmic themes in the chakras and an A-Z Directory of how to choose the right stones for the right job, it's all here.

      ^^ There are five parts to this Crystal Prescriptions Vol.6: Part one consists of "The basics", part two, is about "Karmic Healing". In part three Ms Hall explains "Soul Retrieval and Spirit Release", which is followed by "Ancestral Healing". In part five, the final part, we're provided with an "A-Z Directory of Crystals for Karmic Healing, Soul Reintegration and Ancestral Clearing".

      ^^ Throughout the book there are also practical exercises and rituals described, providing the reader with a deeper understanding of how to bring this type of healing into your life and the benefits to expect from doing so.

      ^^ The author also covers other aspects of protecting yourself and your space to keep yourself grounded and safe.

      Overall: Ms Hall explains in great detail how it is possible to heal way back down the genealogical line and our own karmic past using crystals for healing, which can then be projected forward into the future to benefit new generations. I find author, Judy Hall, has a clear way of describing what can sometimes be complex information and although the tone of the book is both informative and instructive, it's written in her usual friendly, approachable style. A must have for crystal healers and practitioners looking to broaden their horizons.

    CRYSTALS FOR HEALTH

    Crystals have an important role in preventing disease and keeping you healthy, but if you do succumb to illness, they are a gentle but effective healing tool. Healing can be defined as bringing the body, emotions, mind and spirit back into harmony. It does not necessarily imply a cure, although it frequently ameliorates conditions. Crystal healing is a gentle and non-invasive process that creates balance on all levels, and one that can provide support to the body’s own internal healing systems. The lore on which it is based has its roots in antiquity and the body of knowledge is, therefore, supported by thousands of years of practical experience.

    Crystals interact with the human energy field to heal, calm, stimulate or adjust the energies within it and to bring the body back into balance. They are beneficial for children, animals, adults and the environment. Crystals also work on attitudes, emotions and the mind, instilling a feeling of well-being, neutralizing negativity, lifting depression and assisting coordination – both mental and physical. One of their most important roles in healing is in bringing the chakras and subtle energy sheath around the physical body back into alignment, and another is in dealing with underlying factors in dis-ease – the psychosomatic effect of the mind and emotions on the body.

    Exactly how they do this is still something of a mystery, despite their having been used for this purpose for thousands of years, but the major explanations centre around three things: vibration, colour and mineral constituents.

    VIBRATION

    Each crystal has its own unique vibration, which can be felt by sensitive people, and most have a small but measurable electrical charge together with an internal lattice-like structure that absorbs and transforms toxic energies.

    Virtually all crystals were born deep in the earth, inside the earth’s magnetic field, so it’s not surprising that they absorbed its magnetic charge and stellar radiation. However, the unique way in which each type of crystal developed subtly altered its magnetic charge. Some were produced, or amended, by great heat or pressure; others were laid down gradually over aeons of time; one or two arrived from outer space. Each cell within the human body also has an electrical charge and when the charge of a crystal is brought close to a cell, or to the biomagnetic sheath that surrounds the physical body, it gently brings the energy of the cell or the biomagnetic sheath back into balance.

    MINERAL CONSTITUENTS

    Crystals are formed from specific minerals, or combinations of minerals, and the chemical constitution of the stones, and their healing effect, was recognized in ancient Egypt and underlies crystal healing lore. Peridot, for instance, known as poor-man’s Emerald because it shares its more expensive counterpart’s brilliant green colour, is formed from silicon, iron and magnesium; while Tourmaline contains iron, boron, aluminium, lithium, magnesium, potassium, silicon, sodium and trace elements that affect the colour; and Turquoise is mainly aluminium with copper and iron. These minerals, which are essential for body health and physiological processes, pass into the body in minute dilutions (see Crystals for Health, page 14) and subtly affect health.

    Kunzite, with its high lithium content, mimics the taking of a conventional lithium prescription in homoeopathic dosage to control the mood swings of bipolar disorder.

    It is important that stones with significant mineral content are placed, or worn, touching the skin rather than outside clothing (see list on page 48).

    COLOUR

    For thousands of years, energy centres, known as the chakras, have been identified on the human body and it has long been recognized that if a chakra is out of balance, it will cause dis-ease of a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual nature according to the chakra concerned. Each chakra resonates to a different colour – the base to red, the sacral to orange, the solar plexus to yellow and so on (see Chakras, pages 36–42), and when the appropriate colour crystal is placed on the chakra, it brings it back into balance and
