The author raised over 500 bottle-fed kittens over more than a 20 year period, specializing in newborns just hours old. Throughout those years, the household also was home to several Great Danes, gentle giants with amazing patience, who taught the kittens that dogs and cats can be wonderful friends. Each individual animal featured in this book was special, whether they lived to a ripe old age in the author's home or whether their lives lasted just a few days or weeks. Each animal will undoubtedly remind the reader of animals from his own life, and what a difference they made. This book also talks about the people involved in animal rescue, their motivations, their dedication, and the heartache of not being able to save all the animals who need help.     Sharon is an entrepreneur, business owner, award winning author, public speaker, and an expert in caring for neonatal orphan kittens. She's also a wife of over 50 years, mother of two daughters, and proud grandmother of four. She firmly believes that life just gets better and richer, the longer you live. Her personal motto is “Find harmony within, then all things are possible.” Sharon's worked in family businesses for most of her life, and currently owns Travel ID Cards, which produces Photo IDs. She recently created a publishing imprint, Samati Press, through SharonSDarrow.com. Animal rescue has been one of her passions for more than 20 years, during which time Sharon raised more than 500 orphan kittens. She no longer fosters kittens, but still works closely with rescue groups, teaching and mentoring. Just as Sharon is passionate about her family and animal rescue, she is equally passionate about writing. Creating books that matter, working with other authors, and speaking about the creative process have become a vital part of her life.
