    MEDITERRANEAN DIET APPETIZERS

    MEAL 1: Spiced Olives

    Introduction

    These spiced olives look appealing and delicious and taste yummy. You cannot resist their flavour. They just add a unique flavour to your dining table.

    Preparation time: 10 minutes

    Cooking time: 10 minutes

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients

    1 teaspoon coriander seeds, crushed

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    3 strips orange zest

    1 garlic clove, minced

    2 cups mixed olives

    ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

    Procedure of Spiced Olives

    1. In a skillet, add coriander seeds and cook for 1 minute.

    2. Add in olive oil and heat.

    3. Add orange zest and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes.

    4. Add in olives and red pepper flakes and stir for 2-3 minutes.

    5. Remove from the heat and serve with crusty bread.

    Calorie Count: 61 per serving.
