      INTRODUCTION

      Most of us have wondered: what happens when I die? We all understand that our physical self someday ceases to exist in the world around us. If we possess any degree of religiosity or spirituality, we also probably believe in and hope for something commonly referred to as Heaven.

      After we leave our earthly environment, we trust this mysterious place beyond the stars awaits our arrival. Many near death experiences certainly seem to suggest the existence of a positive higher realm. The description of the Heaven encountered during these events seems lovely and non-threatening. Yet we still have questions. Is Heaven a real place, with earth-related experiences and even relationships? Will we see our dearly departed loved ones? Where does God reside? Is He, She or It sitting on a magnificent throne or walking naturally among the new arrivals? Must one pass some sort of entrance exam before being admitted to the heavenly afterlife? Can you fail the test and find yourself relegated to a less than desirable place for eternity? So many questions and so few answers often cause worry, fear and anxiety.

      All human beings possess a natural concern about the unknown. Death and dying represent the greatest mystery in our earthly existence. In quiet meditation many times over the past year, I humbly sought God's Divine insights about Heaven. I am 77 and my dear wife is 73 and dealing with a chronic illness. A curiosity about the nature of Heaven has naturally grown stronger because of our advanced age.

      I claim no special relationship with the Higher Power that I call God. I simply meditated, asked about Heaven, listened to the answers and recorded in writing what I heard. The response came in the form of 12 specific Promises about God's Kingdom. I hope my results encourage your own meditations on the subject of Heaven. At the end of the text I have added a special prayer that might be helpful in bringing forth insight and clarity for you. Do not be afraid to seek God's wisdom on any topic, especially what
