About this ebook
In this blistering thriller by New York Times bestselling author and “king of high-concept political intrigue” (Dan Brown, #1 New York Times bestselling author), CIA operative Mitch Rapp becomes a target of bloodthirsty vengeance for a deceased terrorist’s father.
For more than a decade, CIA superagent Mitch Rapp has been on the front line of the war on terror. Now, he’s on a race against time to save one more life—his own—in this “fast, fun read” (People).
The influential father of a slain terrorist demands retribution for the death of his son at Rapp’s hands. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage there are those, even among America’s allies, who feel Mitch Rapp has grown too effective at his deadly job. They have been looking for an excuse to eliminate the number one counterterrorism operative, and they are determined to seize the chance with an explosive international conspiracy. Now the hunter is the hunted, and Rapp must rely on his razor-sharp instincts for survival—and justice—as he unleashes his fury on those who have betrayed him.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I haven't read any of this series in quiet some time so was very happy to find that Mitch Rapp hadn't change one bit...didn't even get any older. He's one character that has the power to draw the reader in and keep you turning pages. It was an interesting plot with a very satisfactory ending and it seemed like a very quick read. There is a movie that was made supposedly from this book so having just finished the book, I watched it last night. There are so many major parts of the storyline that have either been changed or just left out that you would hardly recognize it. If you have read or plan to read this book and/or love this author...don't ruin it by watching the movie.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5"For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. He has killed with impunity, tortured to avert disaster, and shown he will do whatever it takes to prevent terrorists from fulfilling their bloody wishes. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come. Now, the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands vengeance in its simplest form -- an eye for an eye, and Rapp instantly becomes the target of an international conspiracy. This time, he must use all of his vigilance and determination to save himself before he can turn his fury on those who have dared to betray him. "
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Mitch Rapp's pregnant wife becomes an accidental casualty as Saudi terrorists want Rapp dead. Now, Mitch has been given the go-ahead to revenge his wife's death.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another outstanding Flynn entry....not quite as good as Memorial Day, but emotionally charged and gripping to keep you turning the pages feverishly until the very end. Can't wait to see where Mitch Rapp goes after the tragedy in his life from this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely my favorite Mitch Rapp Novel of all time! If you have read all the books in the series leading up to this one, it will NOT disappoint. Vince Flynn is an amazing author who was taken too quickly. Read all of his books and enjoy them!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Vince Flynn has become one of my favorite authors and Mitch Rapp one of my favorite characters. Consent to Kill find both at the top of their respective games (well, given that Mitch requires knee surgery, he might not be at the top of his game). Mitch continues to do to the "bad guys" what we all wish we could do to the them. In addition, this novel included several interesting new characters. Finally, Flynn provided a very surprising plot twist that was as gut-wrenching as it was unexpected. Bravo to an author in the thriller genre that is willing to take a chance that will have an emotional impact upon the reader. My main criticism of Flynn remains that, from time to time, he gets a bit "preachy" with his world view.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Mitch Rapp is one of the more interesting characters that I've come across in literature and Vince Flynn is an exceptional writer, so I had set a pretty high bar when I started reading Consent to Kill. Of the thrillers that I have read, Flynn has among the more realistic and gritty portrayals. Most international terrorist type novels are more fantasy than fiction. In Consent To Kill an ultra-rich Arab fundamentalist puts a massive bounty to have Mitch killed, bringing out some heavy hitters to participate in his assassination. When he survives the attempt, he is hell-bent on exacting revenge in the most ruthless fashion possible. Mitch is a pretty intense character to begin with, but he takes it to a new level in this novel. There was a high level of violence, so it's not for the squeamish, but it all added to the novel. He hunts down every single person who was involved in the attack, going off the grid. This may be the best of the Vince Flynn novels that I have read and I would highly recommend it.Carl Alves - author of Blood Street
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Anna Reilly, Rapp's wife dies in an attempt on Mitch's life by his beach home being blown up which was brought on by a bounty placed on his head by Saeed who thought his son was killed by Rapp but the son wasn't actually killed but was in a middle eastern jail for his part in trying to nuke DC. Rapp reunites the father and son and bows them up with a bombers vest attached the son. He then goes on to kill Abel the middleman when caught at his Alpine retreat and he burned in his beloved home. Rapp took the hostage to prince abdullah and then blows up Tahhib and the princes 6 body guards and kills the prince with a heat grenade by slamming it into his mouth and pulling the pin. Rapp eventally finds the actual hired assasins, (Louie Gould and Claudia), ...Also a new job was made called the Dir of National intelligence and the guys name is Ross and he doesn't know jack squat about the Saudi's and tries to keep a lid on the murder of anna reilly by sticking with it was an accident like the police thought but this infuriates Mitch Ross also had been doing spy work on Coleman and rapp trying to find something on them going so far as calling in the IRS and got busted by Rapp when he returned the favor of barging into Ross' office. Rapp got Blown off his back porch during the attempt on his life and broke an arm two ribs and bruised a thigh after just having knew surgery, then while in the safe house in VA he got raided by a Latin gang hired by Tahhib the assistant to Prince Abdullah, Rapp killed 13 of the gang and sent one to be interrogated.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Usual high octane thriller from Vince Flynn. Very enjoyable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another A+ book from Vince Flynn. Flynn is one of my favorite authors and never holds back in his books. Fantastic from top to bottom
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Interesting book. How a star killer, pursued by another killer, ultimately throws his gun into the ocean.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Vince wrote much like Jack Carr, one of my current favorites.
He perfectly captures the disgusting nature of professional politicians who will do anything to remain in power. The actions scenes and technical details are engaging, great book and series - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5In Vince Flynn’s new political thriller, Mitch Rapp, the CIA’s top anti-terrorist operative and star of numerous Vince Flynn thrillers, finds himself in an unfamiliar position. Fighting against a bounty on his head and resistance from the government he’s done so much to protect, Rapp must work without any rules or restrictions as the fight is brought to his own backyard. With a bum knee, a pregnant wife and a 20 million dollar bounty on his head bringing a deadly husband-wife-duo of assassins hot on his trail, its up to Mitch to win a game he’s very familiar with; the game of survival. I found Consent to Kill, though fairly predictable and stereotypical as far as the political genre and Flynn’s previous works go, to be a fast-paced and exciting read. Flynn’s hero is portrayed as invincible, giving a slightly fictitious feel to the story, but I still found guilty pleasure as Rapp dispatched terrorists, hired guns and any one else who had done him wrong. Overall, Consent to Kill, though somewhat predictable and stereotypical for the political thriller genre, is a very entertaining read that will keep you up and night plowing through pages till the exciting climax. My overall rating for this book would be a 7 out of ten.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Terrific story!
Writing flow and dialog are better than previous books, and the plot is one of the best yet.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5a very heart breaking but wonderfull story i also liked the length of the book. enjoy i did
