Many Lives, Many Masters: The True Story of a Prominent Psychiatrist, His Young Patient, and the Past-Life Therapy That Changed Both Their Lives

About this ebook
As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the “space between lives,” which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss’ family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career. With more than one million copies in print, Many Lives, Many Masters is one of the breakthrough texts in alternative psychotherapy and remains as provocative and timeless as it was when first published.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Throughout my 50+ years, most especially as a younger person, the feeling of being an "old soul" shadowed me. After reading this book, I may - to a small extent - know why. Hope to read more from Dr. Weiss.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Purchased for Erin from the recommendation of Tammy Cunningham. Very interesting and thought-provokign book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Life changing book, I read it in one sitting from cover to cover, so profound.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very informative and interesting. Gives a clear understanding of this well known man's introduction to Reincarnation and past life therapy. He starts as a skeptic and becomes a believer through a scientific approach that will help many to see the same changes in thinking.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a quick and interesting read. This books is worth reading if you are interested in theories regarding past lives. I do wish the author would have gone in to detail a little more about everything as this boon is very brief. It was still a compelling read!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome book!!! Totally changed my perception of seeing life. Though, I was already aware of the sort of things mentioned in the books, but this book added credibility to my thinking and pushed me a step higher on my spiritual path. I highly recommend this book to people who are anxious about little things in their life. Peace and Blessings!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book! It really expands the mind on the idea of past lives! I rest it in a few days
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A moving account of en eminent psychiatrist who moves beyond traditional, narrow-minded therapy modes to guide his patients through past life experiences. A true pioneer.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Of my firsts in reading. Loved it totally. Would’ve regretted not reading it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When a past life regression stated the year as a BC, I began to become more suspicious. If you lived in a BC time you did not know that. The system was put in place much later and your calendar system was vastly different.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A practicing psychiatrist is confronted with his own mortality, losses and grief when he takes the case of Catherine, a deeply troubled young woman hounded by anxiety and phobias. Confident of his professional standing and skills with traditional psychiatric methods, he “cures” Catherine through hypnosis when she reveals her father molested her at age three. What follows is the beginning of a series of sessions that leads Weiss into the realm of para psychology. Fascinating read. If you have any personal experience with psychic premonition or ESP, this book should ease your weary mind.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5OK, OK, OK. I'm maybe a bit more than half convinced about reincarnation. But the insistance that all these lifes are lived with the same cast of characters makes one fear death more than ever.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Very disappointing. It is badly written which is simply something I can’t overlook, it kills all the enjoyment for me. The narrator’s thoughts lack depth, and realism. It’s like watching a B type of tv show on national tv on a boring Sunday afternoon. Seing the ratings of this book, I find myself considering the ratings on scribd quite unreliable
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At this stage I really do not know it is a true story or an author imagination?Whatever it is it gives you amazing prescription..
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Muy buen libro para empezar su camino hacia la espiritualidad ♥️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Powerful book..it made me re-evaluate myself and how I looked at others.. Never judge a book by its cover.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I highly enjoyed reading this one, finished it in one night - i enjoyed the fact that he is a psychiatrist with a scientific background yet he is well aware of the powerful aspects of the mind and how this life is much more than the physical state! I highly recommend it
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Look this is a book that is fun to read. I am not going to say a word about anything about it from a hypnotist's perspective, just that i think it was a fun read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I'll admit it: I'm a skeptic. I'm not sure what the truth is about the afterlife. I read this book after going through a regression session by Dr. Weiss on Youtube out of curiosity more than anything. I had some extremely clear memories of things I had forgotten about in my childhood, and exceptionally vivid memories of a past life (or that's what it seemed). Was it a trick of the mind, or real memory? I guess we'll never know for sure.
The book itself has some very interesting passages and certainly gives a message of hope that makes us think we are immortal souls and that this lifetime is only one of many and so we needn't fear moving on to another. Again, is that true, or is it wishful thinking? I'm fascinated by the possibilities, by the seemingly common themes of near death experiences and the bright lights, of hovering over their body in the moments near death. Is that coincidence, fabrication, or the universal law of how things really work?
I can recommend this as a good jumping off point to begin your own research. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love this book. Dr. Weiss did a excellent job of descriptively documenting his and Catherine's experiences. I felt as if I was in the room for each session. Thank you for overcoming your fears and apprehension Dr. Weiss, and blessing the world with this much needed knowledge. Peace and Light.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This is an account by a psychiatrist with a scientific bent, who comes into contact with past-life material in a patient. It’s cautiously written, mildly interesting, and was of course a lot more revolutionary when it was first published back in 1988.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I remember reading this book shortly after it came out and I still will occasionally go back and read it. It's a fascinating story of a psychiatrist who attempts to help a young patient and inadvertently discovers that the patient has had past lives. The therapy sessions presented here will really challenge any notion you may have that reincarnation doesn’t exist. As with anything in life, there are so many things that we have question after question about, and as the questions pile up with no clear answers we can really dispute anything. But this book will make you think about the possibility that we have been here before. I was raised in a very conservative and religious home and never gave any thought to this concept until I read this book. The more I read and the more I thought about it, it started to make sense that we may have lived here before and done it many times. It also brought to question my ideas on purgatory and what it really is. Perhaps this is a place we go to if our soul doesn’t learn all it needs to when we die and before we incarnate again??I highly recommend reading this book. It’s a fast read that will capture your attention and have you thinking about some concepts you may not have thought about before.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5it's an interesting piece coming thru someone who sees everything scientifically.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Many lives, Many Masters has completely changed my life and the way I look at life and death. The book is truly a gift and I believe so many lives will be better because of it. It was an incredible read, I can not wait to read his other books and learn more. I would absolutely recommend this book!!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This one is a real page turner. Fascinating reading. I'll be looking for other work by Brian Weiss and looking up others that he himself has researched. By the way - where are the missing texts from the Bible that were deleted?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really liked this book, I couldn't put it down, I read it in two days. I'm a really rational person so I it is hard for me to believe in things like reincarnation, but this book made me consider this idea and I want to learn more about this subject.
