    Chapter One

    Introduction

The purpose of this book is to present to the sick and to those desirous of ministering to them, a working knowledge of how God heals. The title, God Wants The Sick Healed, One Way Or Another, epitomizes the very nature of this book, that by the various methods of healing presented, the reader will readily grasp the fact that God indeed wants the sick healed. It is the intention of the author to cause those who are sick to see that God has purposely placed Himself in a corner, with His back against the wall, to the point that He can't get away and that you are sure to get the promise of your healing.

Furthermore, it is the author's desire, that we, who are called by His Name and into His Service, fulfill the commission that He gave, and that in Jesus' Name, heal the sick, one way or another.

The Bible records in Acts 17, that the apostle Paul preached to certain Jews in the city of Thessalonica who rejected his message. These Jews were zealous of the traditions of their fathers and were not willing to accept anything contrary to that which they were taught. As a result, the brethren sent Paul and Silas at night to the city of Berea, where Paul preached to their Jewish population. These Jews readily received his message. As the Jews in Thessalonica, we also are often zealots in our embracing of our own doctrines and traditions. We hold on to what our favorite preacher or teacher says, with no true Biblical evidence to support our beliefs. However, we find that this passage of scripture in Acts 17:11, contrastingly describes the difference between the Jews in Thessalonica to those in Berea and is of utmost importance in ministering and receiving God's Word. It brings out two essential points. First, it gives one the first step to receiving truth from the Word—a ready mind to receive. Second, it directs us to a safeguard, the Scriptures. Check It Out for yourself; see if that which is being taught lines up with the Word of God. If more of
