God's Chosen Warriors
By Richard Ruth

About this ebook
The subject of this book is the Kingdom of God: What is it? Why is it needed? How is it be brought about; namely, what is the role of the chosen warrior? These questions are answered in the context of the Bible only, in which several translations are used. The book describes experiences by the Missionary, Prophet, Evangelist, Chaplain, Co-author, who also makes extensive use of Bible verses. This book can be considered as a spiritual guide for Christians who want to be prepared to describe/defend their faith from a biblical perspective.

INTRODUCTION
The call to worship and serve the LORD is real. It is my opinion that it has never been more imperative than in the 21st Century. In addition, it has never been more imperative for Christians to be more assertive in what they believe in order to strengthen and solidify their resolve to stand out as strong disciples and spiritual warriors for their commander in Chief, Jesus Christ.
We disciples of Jesus Christ of Nazareth need a concise set of scriptural guidelines to enable us to work with the Holy Spirit in laying the foundation of the Kingdom.
Joshua, upon entering the Promised Land, faced a great war to establish God’s kingdom. We are faced with a task of an even greater dimension in establishing His Kingdom, since our battle is with the unseen spiritual forces of Satan and his minions, but knowing, however, that the battle is the Lord’s.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. {We are} destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and {we are} taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:3-5 NASU).
We must be well prepared to know what our role is in this battle. We must take a position of either being for or against the setting up of His kingdom. If, as disciples of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we do not take a position of being for Him, we are, in essence, taking a position against Him.
To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God says this: I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,’ and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked
(Revelation 3:14-17 NASU).
What Jesus Says
Jesus has already told us that we are in a battle.
Do not think that I have come to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword (Matthew 10:34 NASU).
The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8b NASU).
The sword we use is not a physical sword, but is the Word of God, that is, the Bible.
For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12 KJV).
Reaching Out
The first purpose of writing this book was for my own edification. I wanted to write down why I believe in a Creator, His purpose in creating me and how I am to live my life to fulfill that purpose. I wanted a handbook that I could readily refer to on my pilgrimage, a handbook that would always be consistent with the Bible.
Secondly, if I found this handbook to be helpful to me in my decision-making, it might be helpful to others. I’ve focused on what I think are some of the Bible’s most powerful verses on salvation and Resurrection. And what is most helpful for evangelization, the Reverend Eilene Kuzmann shares her experiences on applying the Gospel in her many years of experience in the harvest fields.
Finally, my third purpose is to instill a burning desire to ask the Holy Spirit to assist us daily in the study and application of the Scriptures and to help us listen to the small, still voice of God. This is how faith, which is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8 NASU), comes to us (Romans 10:17). If your faith needs a boost, open God’s Word at the same time each day and devote yourself to seek answers from Him. The investment you make in God’s Kingdom will last for eternity.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV).
In order to make Scripture yours, i.e., to internalize it, I suggest that you try this method: when you come to a verse(s) that speaks to your heart, believe it (have faith in it), obey it, and then expect it to come to pass. For example, Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) says, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding [head knowledge]. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Believe it; obey it; and expect it to come to pass, i.e., eagerly look for it to happen!.
A committed disciple of our Lord is a chosen warrior for the Lord.
The Chosen Warrior's Armor
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breast plate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV).

PART I A BRIEF BIBLICAL SKETCH OF MANKIND'S SALVATION HISTORY
SOME KEY BIBLICAL SALVATION VERSES
Meet the Creator
The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the God and Father of Jesus Christ, created the earth and everything that is in it as well as the universe through Jesus (John 1:3; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:15-17). In creation He expressed His love, intelligence, and power. All things, therefore, must honor, worship, and be obedient to the Creator.
So Paul, standing before the Council addressed them as follows: "Men of Athens, I notice that you are very religious, for as I was walking
