Star Girl
Star Girl wanted to be born in Tibet, high in the sacred mountain peaks of the Himalayas. And so it was. Her parents were weavers. They were simple, pure in heart and mind, worshipped the Source of All That Is, and honored Mother Earth.
From the beginning Star Girl’s childhood was unusual. When she slept, her body emanated a gentle pink mist that glowed in the dark. Her parents marveled at this as they watched the ebb and the flow of this seemingly alive substance moving in rhythm with her breath flowing in and out, in and out, in and out.
Star Girl was a happy child. She never lost her Remembering when she came here to join us Earthlings. The minute she closed her eyes at night, she woke up somewhere else in the Universe, to connect and have fun with her Star Family that she had left, to sojourn upon Planet Earth.
As Star Girl developed from babyhood into a youthing, she was a growing source of amazement to her humble parents. When she slept at night, she emitted the most ecstatic Music. Her parents thought their hearts would burst as they listened to the glorious sounds coming forth from their sleeping child. The Music was never the same. It was different every night. It was the type of Music that opened and nourished awakening hearts, connecting the listener to the Mysteries held deep within them. These very same Mysteries linked them with the Source of All Creation.
Star Girl’s parents gave her complete freedom. They were filled with gratitude that the Source of All elected them to raise her as their very own. Star Girl loved the nighttime most of all. During the early evening she would kiss her parents on the forehead, wave goodbye to them, and start walking barefoot through the beloved mountain peaks of the farthest most reaches of Tibet.
She especially loved the falling stars. Every time she spotted one, she would watch in breathless wonder as it made its quick descent to Earth. She would always return to her home in the wee hours of morning to sleep in her little straw bed, woven lovingly by her parents.
Eventually, Star Girl’s Star Family awakened her to the knowing that it was now time for her to collect the falling stars. She gasped in excitement as this task resonated to the very core of her Being. They told her it was for this reason that she came to visit Planet Earth. Shortly afterward, she started gathering together some yak wool, handfuls of very colorful, long, narrow ribbons, a few aromatic herbs, and eagle feathers. From this assortment she wove together and fashioned a most exquisite basket. Every day, when the sky started to darken into dusk, Star Girl would kiss her parents on the forehead and leave her home. Her parents would watch her disappear barefoot into the night, carrying her big, beautiful yak wool basket with its colorful ribbons trailing behind her or waving excitedly in the wind.
Stars are like snowflakes in that there are never two the same. They are alive, shimmering and vibrating, singing their own Music. Star Girl could not collect more than 2 or 3 stars in her basket at a time. She was led to a huge underground cavern near where she lived, in which she could keep the stars. The cavern glistened with its crystalline walls and extended for miles upon miles deep down under the Earth’s crust. Star Girl loved this Work. You could hear the joyful sound of her laughter, like delicate silver bells, when she saw a falling star and was able to catch it and put it in her basket.
Each night, she would deposit her treasures in particular rooms within the crystalline cavern under the guidance of her Star Family, before she returned home to her little straw bed. This was truly a labor of love. Star Girl performed this
