About this ebook

Yes I know, there are other books out there on how to get rich. But this is a first – a first book that shows readers how to get rich easily (really!) while helping our world and relieving suffering at the same time. It’s a book of the moment, written now, at a time when there’s a consciousness on how to earn enough money to enjoy a happy life, yet not in a classic capitalistic way. It’s a book on how making money can make you happy when you don’t just think of yourself. As you get rich, you gain happiness too, as you witness the joy you bring to your family, your friends, your area, and the wider world.

This book could have been called ‘The Secret’, but someone did that. :( But this book describes a real secret. :) It’s a secret that turned me from being a pauper with no home, no car, no job, no anything not even good health, into a healthy, wealthy man helping people in many countries. You can do it too.

And you can use this secret this part-time, whether you currently work, or not. All you need is to follow instructions, and then, Get Rich Happily.

One question - how much money do you need to retire from work? Of course, you can always work, and make more money, and help more people if you wish. Look at the millions Bill Gates and Warren Buffet give to charities. But they had to start somewhere, and so do you. So let’s start with, how much money do you need so you don’t need to work unless you want to? Add up a mortgage free house, a car or two, and annual holidays and expenses. How much money would give you freedom?

For example, if you owned a house and transport costing $400,000, and $600,000 in the bank at 5% interest giving you $120,000 per annum interest on your money, if you start with nothing you need to earn $1 million to be able to retire.

But how do you earn $1 million?

That’s the secret given away in this book.

It’s easier than you think. You can start with $1, $10, $100, £1000, $10,000 or whatever sum you decide. I suggest you start with a sum of money you could waste. In other words, if you went to a casino (just imaginary, ok!) how much money could you afford to lose, and not leave feeling sad? Whatever the sum is, whether it’s $1 or $10,000 that’s the sum you’ll start with.

Then it’s just a matter of applying the secret.

In less steps than you have fingers and toes, you should be a happy millionaire.

There’s more to this book than money though. It’s also about how to be happy, how to have fun, how to gain more pleasure in life.

So Get Rich Happily is a book with two aims – to help you Get Rich financially, and to simultaneously help you become spiritually happier the richer you get.

I hesitate to use the word ‘spiritual’, in case it’s misunderstood. But in the context of this book, ‘spiritual’ means feeling happier in yourself, happier with family and friends, and happier caring for others in our world in increasingly beautiful ways.

Teachings throughout the book help you progress further, easier, better. Each teaching includes gems of wisdom as ‘Messages from the Financial and Spiritual Millionaire’. (That’s me!) These messages help you progress. As you get richer, simple wise sayings help you achieve your target more easily.

The end of the book shows how to start a Get Rich Happily Club. Friends who used this secret said I should charge for membership of Get Rich Happily Clubs. But as you can see from the price of this book, I’m not in it for the money.

Of course you could use the secret by yourself. But I hope some people help Get Rich Happily in clubs.

I don’t need anything in return - except perhaps an email from you one day saying how you Got Rich Happily. Then I’ll be happy knowing I’ve made a difference to someone’s life. And that’s all I need.

There’s the age-old saying, ‘money can’t buy happiness’. Well - poverty can’t buy happiness either. So you might as well try: Get Rich Happily.

Get Rich Happily - Allan J. Sweeney

    Dedication

    This book is dedicated to

    my father on earth

    (Edward John Sweeney)

who became a highly respected businessman

    and my Father above

    (God)

who taught me to respect high spirituality

    Spiritual riches

    Introduction

The purpose of this book is to show that making money for the sake of making money may not provide happiness. And that making money with spiritual ideals may help you become happier, and calmer, and enjoy all that life has to offer, without negative feelings of possessing money such as guilt or greed. To gift money to lovingly help other’s lives means money-making is not so serious, not a chore. Life then has a better meaning for existence, a pleasant option at the start of each day, a spiritual richness.

    TV show, The Secret Millionaire

In the UK a TV show called, The Secret Millionaire shows the emotional futility of just making money – and the beauty of giving. Self-made millionaires are taken to a town, under a secret identity, to volunteer and help. Because no-one knows they are millionaires, they can freely assess the needs of local organisations and individuals. At the end of the week, the secret millionaires reveal they are rich, and decide who needs help the most, and how much to give. Often the sum given is many tens of thousands of pounds.

Tears of surprised joy on receivers’ faces are emotional to watch. But it’s equally emotional to see tears of happiness on the givers, the secret millionaires. The millionaires often beam, saying things like, I never realised how good it felt to give so much, or I now realise there was an empty space inside me before, or Making a difference in these people’s lives has made me the happiest I have ever felt, or I’ll continue helping these people, or I’ll seek others to help for the rest of my life – giving others has given me more than I ever dreamed.

    About this book

So that’s what this book is about. It’s about how you can become rich, a secret millionaire, giving away tens of thousands of pounds to help those in desperate need, and how you can become happy yourself. It’s a book about how I became a secret millionaire, a record of the steps I took on the way, the lessons learned, and how I created balance between making money, and giving and happiness. The secrets are given to you, in a series of ‘messages’.

    About spirituality

After becoming a secret millionaire, I tried to teach others the same. But I realised some people are too greedy, too negative, or not spiritual enough to be able to give and be happy.

So this book includes guidance for spiritual thinking, simple ways to develop your inner nature to a more beautiful, happier being. And then you’ll more easily Get Rich Happily.

    For those with negative thinking

So many people do not know how to enjoy their life. Their glass is always half empty. They see life’s problems, not life’s solutions. They wallow in the mud of the murkier, more horrid aspects of life. They allow a torrent of dimness to enter their being. In consequence, they allow a torrid darkness to exude from their being. Then life becomes a self-perpetuating unloving force that creates sadness inside them and unhappiness into all they meet.

Would it not be better to change this outlook? Would it not be better to view life as a positive merry-go-round, where all possible problems may occur at some point in anyone’s life? What would happen if we embraced ‘negative’ situations and changed them to a ‘positive’? Or better, what if there were no negatives or no positives, but instead there was just a life that we should embrace with thanks?

Throughout my life I have noticed how different people deal with different problems. For some people, whatever happens is a mini-crisis, a mini-trauma, something to tell everyone about how horrible life is. A ‘bad’ situation becomes a way of life, because the ‘bad’ situation is talked about again and again, reinforcing the person’s negative view that life really is bad. To try to get this type of person to see that life is not as bad as they keep saying becomes almost impossible. Their constant repetition of the ‘bad’ aspects of their life creates self-brainwashing, a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Eventually, for many in this downwards spiral of thinking, negativity becomes all there is to their lives. They have an existence, they live, work, and play, they may even have fun sometimes. But they are not happy. They have programmed their thoughts to spot every negative situation as it arises, and make the most of it. Their own negative thinking consolidates negative situations in their lives. It is not long before there are few positives.

But they do not understand. All they know is that life is not nice and is sometimes awful. They do not understand that they have instigated this downwards spiral by how they interact with situations, expecting things to be negative, and consolidating the negativity by talking about it constantly.

If you are this type of person, you might find it difficult to use this book’s secrets to become a millionaire. You may need to understand loving spirituality more first.

    Positives

Contrast this to the type of person whose glass is always half full. They do not moan when a ‘bad’ event occurs. They do not share their negatives with every person they can talk to. And they do not allow sad, angry, depressed or other negative emotions to rule their lives.

Instead they ignore minor negatives, expecting them, anticipating that negatives will always arise. When they arise, they are discarded as something not wanted or not needed in their life. And they laugh at their troubles, and find lightweight ways to deal with problems that others would find a heavy burden.

They seek positives in everything, and tell others how positive things are in life. They have a ready smile and kind word for everyone. They have warmth, love for themselves, and love for others. They feel good because they want to feel good. They want to feel happy. They want to be kind to themselves and others.

Positive thoughts and deeds may not always have been the norm. Maybe they had to struggle to think positively, work hard at re-programming their thoughts. And maybe they’ll slip back at times. But eventually they programme mainly goodness inside them by producing only good thoughts from their consciousness.

And when a problem does arise that is more difficult than normal, this type
