About this ebook
The backdrop for the misadventure is, of course, Googie’s Bar where the blonde, the big Greek, the fat bald man, the transvestite, and others engage in animated dialogue with the bartender and among themselves.
The main emphasis in Googie’s Bar is on racy dialogue interspersed with outlandish misadventures.

Introduction
The blonde was leading the conga line. Twenty men were lined up behind her. She held her old-fashioned in her left hand which she raised to her pouty lips revealing the tuft of hair beneath her armpit. The conga line lifted their glasses in unison. Slurp. Slurp. Altogether now. The blonde extended her right leg. She thrust it out of her red slit dress. Twenty black polished shoes tapped against the floor. The blonde puffed a big cigar. Thrusting it in and out of her mouth. Twenty men inhaled their cigars, then blew smoke. The blonde began singing, I left my heart in San Francisco...
High on a hill...
they sang together. The blonde sashayed her hips. Altogether now.

The Fat Bald Man
Standing on the corner of Post and Leavenworth Streets (in San Francisco) she waits under an umbrella. The blonde. With hair that hangs down shoulder length. Offset by red cowboy boots. Between the red and the blonde she wears a lavender dress, which fits very snugly. Occasionally she twirls her umbrella, scattering rain. Headlights pass. More headlights pass. She taps the toe of her boot. Impatiently. And reaches in her purse for a filter tip. Cigarette. She lights it with a gold lighter. Puff. Puff.
The fat bald man in the black Chrysler Imperial circles the block. He has circled it once before to get up his courage and to appraise. Flesh. Some cost more than others. Some are discriminating and don't like fat bald men. He looks her over. Red cowboy boots and all.
A cat zooms underneath a car. Safe. The cat peers at the blonde as she paces back and forth. Hoping that the fat bald man won't return. But he probably will. Even though he is oblivious to the presence of the cat who is lurking underneath the car.
The fat bald man drives down Sutter Street, which is empty of flesh. He turns the black Chrysler right at Jones Street. There, thank God, right thigh is paired with left thigh, rows of them. Ready. Sheltered by umbrellas. White, black, and gray. Pink, brown, and purple. Beneath which lips with contrasting colors are pursed. (Repeat the series backwards.) The fat bald man grins broadly. Hope.
The redhead nudges her friend with her elbow. "Get a load of that
