About this ebook
Book 2 in the McMaster the Disaster series, complete with all new Disaster Diary entries.
Josie McMaster is on the move to London for a top-secret stint as a ghostwriter for a high profile celebrity. It's her dream job; she's got a beautiful place to stay in the English countryside, full access to the celebrity, and three months to complete the best ghostwritten autobiography anyone has ever seen.
In true McMaster the Disaster fashion, Josie tumbles head-first into scandal, apparently more than just an average ghostwriter in the eyes of this new celebrity. Not to mention she has never written a biography, but... how hard could it really be?
Of course, the paparazzi is not helping matters, constantly publicizing the 'when will Jake Hall pop the question' betting pool, which is completely ridiculous considering she and Jake have only been dating a short while...
... or is it?

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Ok, I will just confess, I didn't like this book.
I found it too frustrating: there was all this sh*t happening all over the place, it was just too much running around with bad things happening, or boring things, or nothing happening.
I found it too fluffy: it read strangely, part summation, part 'real time' part retrospect. In a strange jumble. There was so much dead time! Pages and pages of 'radio silence' and then a whirl wind of summing up what happened during that time, instead of writing it in real time! I didn't like it at all. I spent a goodly amount of time flipping pages, skim reading, then being bored with the 'meat' that I did find.
And as far as characters go... I f*cking hated her mother! And that her mom gets away with it and daughter just sucks it up. Jake, Mr. Romance, is barely an entity in this whole thing... pages and pages of getting lost in hallways, raiding closets and oh yeah, Jake talks to me every day. Um, do we get to hear about it? and then...
...............SPOILER!!!!!!!!!.........................
they're in love and next thing, engaged. And I'd love to be happy for her, but really, we barely know the guy! I think there might have been one page worth of about Jake, the rest was nothing. And even the last book didn't have much about him either. So, I didn't have any emotional attachment to the dude. Nor did I find myself liking the 'heroine' much either. Flake seemed to cover it for her in this book.
Yeah, I wasn't very impressed with this book. And now that I know mom's gonna play a prominent role in the next book, I don't care anymore for the heroine, and I've got zero interest in Jake at this point, I think I'm done. It's a pity too because I love humorous books, and the first started out very good. But I don't think I got more than one laugh out of this one. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is a classic example of a second book in a series that is considerably worse than the first one. I sincerely enjoyed McMaster the Disaster, #1, and bought this book in hope to find that same enjoyment, unfortunately I was disappointed. This book was not as gripping or witty and I really regretted wasting money on it.
