    Middle School is a challenging time for all kids. Being Autistic meant that middle school would be twice the challenge for me. I will never forget that nightmare year when my locker was my biggest bully and the other kids used my locker to try and hurt me. This book shares my junior high experiences in hopes of making your child's junior high experience better. Learn the unwritten social rule.

    Socializing changes in a big way as we get into junior high school. In Elementary School children run around on the playground chasing one another, swing on the swing set, and play fun games at recess. Now when junior highers are allotted a recess time there is not as much game playing as there is conversation and gossip.

    Your child may notice the other children changing in the way they socialize but may not be able to figure out what is going on or why this is happening. Your child on the Autism Spectrum may be struggling to comprehend why their peers are changing so suddenly.

    This book is a remarkable tool to parents and educators for helping them understand what it can be like for someone with Autism to deal with these overwhelming social changes in life.
