Apocalypse 12-21-12 The Mayan Prophecies
()
About this ebook
Established author James Burton Anderson, a graduate engineer, astronomer, and long-time MENSA member, has studied the Mayan long-count calendar and its apocalyptic implications for over fifteen years. His latest book, Apocalypse 12-21-12 The Mayan Prophecies, explores the basis of the worldwide concern over the coming “End of Times” date, which is just months away. In May, Reuters reported a study showing that worldwide 10% of individuals believe the Mayan calendar could signify the end of the world in 2012. In America a startling 22% believe they will see the world end in their lifetime. Many very credible scientists and others are deeply concerned. Anderson shares his findings on why this special date might actually have more validity than governments will ever reveal. He is convinced that we are, in fact, in very real and present danger. He explores in detail what we are not being told and why, and comes to some starling conclusions. Are we actually in imminent danger? The many different “End of the World” scenarios are explored in great detail, along with the steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones.

"Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain." Friedrich Schiller, 1786.
DATELINE MAY 2, 2012 – REUTERS: Nearly fifteen percent of people worldwide believe the world will end in their lifetimes and ten percent think the Mayan Calendar could signify that it will happen in 2012
.
The survey was taken in twenty different countries. In the United States the number was a staggering twenty-two percent! Let’s extrapolate a bit.
Assuming there are 150,000,000 adults in the US, and ten percent of those presently believe in a Mayan End of Time
doomsday, that means there are some fifteen million Americans (15,000,000!) who truly believe they may not be around on December 22nd! And this number of souls was recorded well before the 12/21/12 debate really begins to heat up in the few months before this pre-determined
event! I expect that the number of doomsday believers will triple if not more before November.
Incidentally, according to the study, relatively speaking, the French couldn’t care less, and the Russians and Poles are terrified! And apparently the under 35
crowd are across the board by far the most concerned. Time-wise they have the most to lose!
I know from my pre-publication reviews of this book that many of my readers are going to find this book to be quite scary and uncomfortable. Sadly we have all been subjected to so many predictions of impending catastrophe over the years that the remaining seventy-eight percent of Americans are totally deaf to any more such predictions.
Some cynics will say I simply wrote this book for the money. Believe it or not, writers have to eat too! But there is also a very sincere and heart-felt hope that my words will enlighten, entertain, and perhaps actually save those who choose to understand that life-threatening disasters can and do happen. Perhaps even on December 21, 2012. Perhaps not.
Many hold the attitude that: Well, if something bad happens I’ll deal with it then
. Unfortunately when then
comes around there is no way you CAN deal with it. The old Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared
, unfortunately falls on stone deaf ears.
Will December 21st bring about something
? Anything? Can there possibly be any truth in any of this? These are very valid questions, and no one can provide a positive answer, or even a well-educated guess. My hope for readers of this book is two-fold:
First, share with you, and make you aware of, the many different doomsday scenarios
you will hear about in the days leading up to December 21st. Many of these scenarios are near-fantasy and far beyond la-la land! Many others are very real, and could actually happen at any future date, before, after, or actually on December 21st.
The clear and present danger of the could actually happen
set of events will be totally whitewashed, vastly minimized by the government. You are never, ever, told the whole truth, for your own good
. You never will be. Talk about great material for a re-assuring Presidential campaign speech this summer!
I have a suggestion, though I doubt whether Congress would ever take it seriously. The Bald Eagle is our national symbol. It is a known scavenger, which matches quite well with the opinion of many world-wide of good old planet-scavenging USA.
Benjamin Franklin lobbied hard to make the Turkey our national symbol, which might have been even more appropriate to some. My suggestion? Make the mushroom our national symbol! It makes sense. We are kept in perpetual darkness and fed poop, the very key to mushroom propagation. Just a random thought.
My Second reason for writing this book is my strong belief that everyone who cares about his or her family should create some level of preparedness just in case
. If it isn’t needed because of some event that happens coincidently or otherwise on 12/21 there is a very high likelihood that it will be needed some time in the near future.
I find it particularly amusing that all of the experts
are scrambling to debunk any thought that December 21, 2012 has any validity whatsoever as a Mayan-predicted date of doom. On June 30th the BBC reported that a new reading
of the hieroglyphics carved on a Mayan stone tablet shows just the second reference to 2012
of 15,000 of such tablets. I cannot help but wonder what the old reading
was!
This was actually the very first time I have ever seen it reported that the actual year 2012 was ever even mentioned as such in any Mayan text. I was under the impression that the 2012 date was deduced from complex calendar calculations by modern-day experts. Whatever. Perhaps someone should conduct a new reading
of the other 13,999 tablets!
The source quoted goes on to conclude that: There is no Mayan prophecy
. Then he goes on to say that, yes, the Mayan’s do in fact predict their God Bolon Yakte’s return. Doesn’t that qualify as a prophecy? It does to me. Making a distinction between prediction
and prophecy
seems rather lame. And it seems to me to not be too great a stretch to believe that this predicted coming
, should it actually happen, could have some sort of really bad consequences, apocalyptic, catastrophic or whatever.
Whether you choose to prepare for a one-week problem
or a one-year problem, or even for a much longer global disaster, that’s your call. But at least take the entire matter seriously or risk putting your life, and that of those you love, at some level of risk.
Knowledge is power. Learn all you can from this book. I am certain you will be glad you did.
Let us hope that we all wake up with smiles on our faces on December 22nd!
We don’t have all that long to find out.
PART ONE
PRELUDE TO APOCALYPSE
"….a lie which is a half a truth is ever the darkest of lies." Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
"Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe." H. G. Wells.
On March 07, 2012, The Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) decided to post a video explaining away any possible physical influences that could bring about a cataclysmic event on December 21st! It was captioned: 12-21-2012 : Just Another Day
. JPL? NASA? Really? Shall we guess whose idea this was? I believe it is called Washington Whistling In The Dark
.
Do most Americans believe that everything the government tells them is true? I think not. We are, in fact, treated as mushrooms. Seems to me that at least some real concern, perhaps official behind-the-scenes panic, resulted in creating this sort of reassuring
video nine full months before the magic 12/21/12 date. The end of the Mayan long-count calendar is surely at least on the government’s radar screen. Why do you suppose that might be?
The essence of this NASA video is discussed elsewhere in this book, along with my interpretations of some of the expert
statements. I find it both interesting and a bit frightening that the denials began to appear so early in the year. And of course the
video never even hints at some of the more real possibilities. It just debunks the obviously absurd, and minimizes or totally ignores the very possible apocalypse scenarios.
I absolutely HATE coincidences. They seldom are. The very same weekend as the NASA video was shown, Accuweather aired an utterly idiotic denial video as well (I’ll also discuss that one later). Needless to say there was virtually NO press coverage of either video.
Can you EVER believe press coverage of anything? I never cease to be amazed at the medias’ bias shown time and time again. The biased coverage of politics is well documented, but the biased coverage of the 2012 Apocalypse strongly in favor of it is not a problem
is becoming more evident with each new revelation
. Case in point:
On May 10th, Dateline MSN: Never Mind The Apocalypse. Earliest Mayan Calendar Found
. This story was reported on the same day on MSNBC’s Cosmic Log
. There we find two different headlines offered for the same interesting article. Maya Calendar Workshop Documents Time Beyond 2012
and Maya Marked Time Beyond 2012
. Read all three of these headlines and all of a sudden the Mayan End Of Time
on December 21, 2012 has clearly been debunked. Just a load of llama poop. The headlines tell me so.
That is, if you only read the headline and do not read the actual article that followed! Apparently whoever wrote the headlines didn’t bother to read the article at all. The article actually comes to the exact OPPOSITE conclusion from the headlines!
Apparently archeologists have recently discovered a buried six-foot-square room that contains 1,200 year old Maya paintings. It is located at the Xultun archeological site in Guatamala’s Peten Region. They have concluded it was a scribe’s workplace. Paintings on the walls contained all manner of complex calendar calculations.
The article pointed out that David Stuart, an expert on Maya hieroglyphs, studying at Texas University in Austin, explained that the calendars were NOT indicating specific dates but are simply notations of elapsed time. Stuart specifically cautioned that the time notation should NOT be read as specifying a date further in the future than December 21st! This is the exact opposite of what the headlines stated! Astonishing, but rather typical, non-factual reporting.
The recent passing of Senate Bill 1867, titled the National Defense Authorization Act
(NDAA) virtually revoked America’s precious Bill of Rights. We are
