About this ebook

What has shaped our current worldviews, and what is the glue that holds our societies together in this modern day? Is it our consciousness that gives rise to the reality we perceive around us? What does Quantum Science prove? Is it true that anything that we do not observe directly exists only as potential or a haze of probability, and that only when we choose what it will be do our consciousness create the physical manifestation?

How does life, consciousness, reality, destiny, and reincarnation really work and what does it mean for me? Do I have a say in my future or do I have to accept the hand Life has dealt me? It shows us how we can manipulate and create our realities and futures through our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and intentions in a self-responsible, accountable manner which considers the scientific fact that we are all connected and part of the whole. We are so much more than the bodies we were born into, and we have the potential to turn our lives into an amazing journey once we realise that the only limitations are the ones we place for ourselves.

Through knowledge, and a realisation of our own power and ability to make changes within ourselves, our immediate surroundings and our communities at large, we can create better lives for ourselves and our children. Knowledge is power. The simple, easy to understand concepts and ideas discussed in this book will empower each and everyone who reads it, challenge your thinking and give you the necessary tools to turn your life into the one you should be having.

Barbara Hedger, (crystalharmony.co.nz) a truly gifted spiritual mentor who taught me much about life and myself.

This book is dedicated to everyone who in their own unique way, big or small, consciously strives to make the world a better place for all who live in it.

    Foreword

We are spiritual beings having a human experience on earth, and not the other way round. We share this physical experience collectively with all the other creatures living on this planet, as well as with the earth as a living entity itself, and collectively we consciously or unconsciously co-create in this miracle called Life.

As spiritual beings we have at our disposal every tool to turn this human experience into a joyous adventure, once we realise that there are, at Life’s very core, a few basic truths and understandings that are so easily overlooked which can easily remove the mystery and empower us to change our lives and the world around us into what we would like to see: Modern science (and particularly the basics behind Quantum Theory), the role that Consciousness plays, a bit of Self-Accountability, and Common-Sense, and we have all the necessary ingredients to consciously affect the world we see around us.

This book will not attempt to provide an academic interpretation of Quantum Physics which forms an essential backdrop to the way reality and life is explained in this book. Many such academic publications are in existence which explain the great scientific discoveries and academic views of our modern world and are easily accessible, and therefore we will look only at the underpinning simple truths derived from these great discoveries and theories and translate them into practical understanding.

We will look at some of the concepts and ideas that have shaped our modern thinking without going into too much detail and hopefully provide some tangibility in a world where scientific proof and validity is required before any credence is given to what we believe in. In short, we live in a world where we require physical proof before we believe anything, so this book will aim to provide some of that proof.

Once we get a glimpse of how simple and logical the inner workings of Life are put together we will have a greater understanding of our role as co-creators of the world we see around us.

From a spiritual perspective a belief in the interconnectedness and eternity of all life implies a tolerance of the principles of reincarnation and an afterlife in that certain events and circumstances are put on our path that are seemingly inevitable and implies that life is not some random throw of the dice.

We are very much able to create and reshape our day to day realities for ourselves, even for non-believers of reincarnation or a greater order: the assumptions behind creating our own realities remain valid as we all have the ability to apply the principles described in this book to our everyday lives in order to create amazing results.

We will look at how Quantum Theory and the prevailing world views of today impact on our thinking and our consciousness, and therefore, consider how we can apply this principles to change what we see around us in a more spiritual, practical and common sense way.

Once we have set the scene and established the paradigm or background, in order words what the stage looks like whereupon our human dramas can possibly play themselves out, can we from a spiritual perspective consider some of the props necessary for each play which must inevitably run its course and determine how we can influence and even alter the script of the play.

The basics behind quantum theory, the subjective and personal nature of consciousness, self-accountability and common-sense are all tools or props at our disposal which can be used to affect and influence how our human dramas will be played out. Where and when we enter on to the stage, and who we share the stage with might already be written into the play, but how the show plays out until the final curtain call is very much up to us.

We also do have a choice whether the play we find ourselves starring in will be a Greek tragedy, filled with tears and a lot of heartache, or whether there will be lots of laughter and joy as well.

    Introduction

We stand in childlike wonder and awe of the magician when he starts performing illusions. The sense of excitement is palpable when he pulls objects from the hat, making things disappear or appear out of thin air is amazing, and fills us with a sense of awe. Whatever the magician creates on the stage seems real to us. Magic tricks open our minds to the vast resources of our imagination and we wonder what magical thing will appear next.

The truth is there is a magician in all of us without even having to learn any tricks or sleights of hand. Once we know how those magic tricks work, and how simple it really is, the mystery disappears. Creating objects and situations out of thin air is something we already do, albeit badly distorted sometimes, but something that, with a little bit of forethought, we can do much better and conjure up in whatever form or shape we want.

Everything in life starts with a simple thought. It is as simple as that. Leonardo Da Vinci had to think about and visualise the Mona Lisa before he could paint it. On a very basic level thoughts can be viewed as carriers of information, or a series of electrical and chemical signals travelling through a large number of neurons in the brain.

On another level, thoughts can be seen as electromagnetically charged particles which magnetises it to whatever it is you are thinking about. These thoughts interact with the energy of the universe and set into motion a particular vibration, with a particular outcome or manifestation at the end of it. As a thought is created, it is imprinted on energy and sets in motion a corresponding vibration which becomes reality.

That means that everything in the universe is merely a vibrating frequency of energy which joins together with energies of the same harmonious frequency to form what we perceive to be reality and as a result determines what we experience in the physical world.

Sadly, we are so conditioned to the realities that we create, that we think we have no choices or options in the actual creation of it.

Whichever way we look everything around us is a reflection of the way we think. Life is a mirror, and we have the ability to change what is reflected back in that mirror. These aren’t pie in the sky ideas that are being put forward without providing justification. Modern scientific thinking has come a long way in proving the connection between mind and matter and more specifically the influence of our thinking on our environment.

The great scientific minds of the 20th and 21st century have all contributed to shaping our current world view and in some way or other add credence to the wisdom that have been held for centuries by the sages of ancient wisdom right through to the proponents of spiritualism, spiritual thinking and reality creators of our modern age.

Everything in life is subjective and subject to conditioning: the value system imprinted upon us through our upbringing, the influence of the media and our peers, and to a lesser degree in modern times through the ability to use our own reasoning. We have lost the innate ability of what feels right and wrong, the ability to decide for ourselves. Our senses have become so overpowered by sensory inputs through mainstream media, social media applications and virtual reality games that we sometimes have trouble distinguishing between reality and fiction.

Hollywood shapes our thinking and dictates our social responses. Our Gods have been replaced by the stars of the red carpet. Someone else has to make decisions for us, or tell us how we should feel about things, or what our opinions should be. We rarely trust our gut instincts anymore.

At the extreme end, fanaticism has replaced religion. Beliefs, so strong that voluntary adherence has been replaced by a follow or die ideology, has long since surpassed any modicum of civility in allowing freedom of belief and just letting others be.

Right in the middle, movements such as the religious right, with support from political parties such as the Tea Party Movement in the United States, express their desperation through increasingly narrow, exclusive worldviews that progressively take away the rights of minorities and similar non-fanatical believers to express themselves and live their lives as they see fit.

Only the degree of physical execution differentiates their fanaticism in the making. They are at least trying to be civil… for now. This is but one example of the quasi-right wing marriage of politics and religion at work, and there are many
