Tashi and the Forbidden Room - Anna Fienberg

When I first read the famous Bluebeard fairytale to Anna, she was very cross. ‘If Bluebeard didn’t want his bride to look into that room, he shouldn’t have given her the key,’ she cried. ‘Everyone knows that when you are told not to do a particular thing, that is the very thing you just have to do!’

Many years have passed since we first read that story, but Anna’s feelings of outrage are still strong.

So why not give him to our brave Tashi, we thought, and see what happens…?

    BARBARA FIENBERG

ANNA and BARBARA FIENBERG write the Tashi stories together, making up all kinds of daredevil adventures and tricky characters for him to face. Lucky he’s such a clever Tashi.

KIM GAMBLE is one of Australia’s favourite illustrators for children. Together Kim and Anna have made such wonderful books as The Magnificent Nose and Other Marvels, The Hottest Boy Who Ever Lived, the Tashi series, the Minton picture books, Joseph, There once was a boy called Tashi, and The Amazing Tashi Activity Book.
