About this audiobook

The Mom Test is a quick, practical guide that will save you time, money, and heartbreak. They say you shouldn't ask your mom whether your business is a good idea, because she loves you and will lie to you. This is technically true, but it misses the point. You shouldn't ask anyone if your business is a good idea. It's a bad question and everyone will lie to you at least a little. As a matter of fact, it's not their responsibility to tell you the truth. It's your responsibility to find it and it's worth doing right Talking to customers is one of the foundational skills of both Customer Development and Lean Startup. We all know we're supposed to do it, but nobody seems willing to admit that it's easy to screw up and hard to do right. This book is going to show you how customer conversations go wrong and how you can do better.

I've read a lot of startup books. This book is the new bible. Simple fun to listen. The authors voice is good, like you are having a conversation. Is very clear. Read this book.

Ok.. good insights but sometimes a bit annoying how the reader reads.. and some parts are also boring...as if he is bored of the tasks he is describing.. authentic though

Great book when building a business! As I go through my pre-accelerator I see the value. This was recommended by a company CEO that had a successful raise and the business unfortunately was winded down. He said if he had read this book he believed he would have set up for success differently.

This book has often been described and referenced in startup workshops, hackathons, accelerators, etc. However, I find that knowing the rationalizations and motivations of the author, the context, and the anecdotes really helped me appreciate customer conversations. It especially helped knowing that the author is a Tech person as I am a Tech gal. Love the book!
