About this audiobook

The Summer Sisters Witch Cozy Mystery Collection: Books 1-3

Witch Happens

Some people come from a long family line of lawyers, doctors, teachers and even cops. Febe just found out she comes from a long line of…witches!

Febe Summer is not having a good day. Or a good year, for that matter.  She lost her fiancé, her job, and her apartment all in one day—on her 25thbirthday! Talk about the worst. Birthday. Ever!

She's jobless, penniless and soon to be…homeless.

Will she be able to rebound and pick herself up again?

Oh, and she just found out, thanks to a dark family secret, that she's not who she thought she was. She's a witch! And she's not allowed to practice magic—yet.

When she moves back to her small hometown of Blackshore Bay, there's more family drama than she can handle. Her aunties are out of control, her sister is being secretive and someone has murdered the malicious town gossip. Will she be able to find out whom, before it's too late?

Life's a Witch

Being a witch is a lot more complicated than it looks.

Febe's just getting used to her magical powers and needs to pass a few tests before she is fully licensed to practice magic without restrictions. But after the murder of someone close to her, she becomes the prime suspect.

Can she clear her name in time and find the real killer—with a little help from magic?

Witch You Were Here

After years of dating Mr. Wrong, Febe's finally met Mr. Right. Trouble is, she can never tell him she's a witch.

There were threads of good morals woven throughout. Also discussion about constant distractions by technology. Definitely for young readers (10-12). Constant repeating of parts of the story. The voice of the narrator was a struggle for me through out the entire trilogy. I started counting how often “I’m soooorry” was said the same mispronunciation by every character. Young readers will probably enjoy it much more than I did.

Quite a good story and just a little different from the many other which stories. Unfortunately let down by lack of plotting. The author constantly gets into a mess with her timing and character placement. At one point she has the detective ask the heroine to come to a cat show in spite of the detective never having had a cat so she suddenly says he borrowed the cat for the occasion. Having asked her to the cat show in the morning and it starting at 5 o'clock the cats are in elaborate costumes and have supposedly been rehearsed by the humans for their appearance. Having got both her characters there in time for the murder the time of their appearance is critical and only one person could have known the time but if they only entered that day who had time to write it up in a program as this is also critical to the plot. This sort of thing happens constantly and there are only so many times the heroine can suddenly remember something to explain things. A good story let down by lack of planning. It would have been better if having got herself in a jam the author had simply gone back a few pages and added the explanation more beleivably in another place not difficult in these days of word proccessing. Sadly she was no better by book three than book one, shame as the story was a good one. A good cosy story ruined( for me at least) by sloppy plotting.

Storie ok just different version the same story over and over. Narrator needed to time down her perk.
