About this audiobook

The headline could write itself: Matthew Hawkins, star defensive end, comes out of retirement to play for the Washington Wolves. Which is perfectly fine by Ava Baker-it makes her job as publicist for the team easier.

There are only two problems. This particular football player was her first crush. The bigger problem: Matthew Hawkins was once engaged to her older sister.

It's been ten years since Ava has seen Matthew. He's bigger, better looking, and best of all-completely single. Despite his history with her sister, the attraction between Ava and Matthew isn't so one-sided anymore. It's hot enough to burn down the entire city of Seattle.

But this headline is far more complicated to write. And not just for the press or what it means for her family-because once her heart is involved, there's no predicting the ending.

Contains mature themes.

Karla Sorensen

Karla Sorensen has been an avid reader her entire life, preferring stories with a happily-ever-after over just about any other kind. It doesn't take much to keep her happy...a book, a really big glass of wine, and at least thirty minutes of complete silence every day. She still keeps her toes in the world of health-care marketing, where she made her living pre-babies. Now she stays home, writing and mommy-ing full time. She currently resides with her husband and their two sons in Michigan.

Editing needs work! It drives me crazy when the chapters cut off mid-sentence!
I love the story and the only reason for the three star review is the editing.

Great read, there’s thread in this series.. very good people, so many times in contemporary or sports romance, the guy is a massive douche that sees the light and changes his ways for the right girl, not so here. Just a good guy falling in love with a great girl. And it’s so much fun, even when they argue and feel hurt there’s no ugliness or blame. Such an interesting amazing ride

Decent story. It wasn't really unique. The writing was a bit dull at times. It kept me interested enough, but it wasn't anything that would leave a lasting impression. I still feel bad for Logan. He was trying to help her and she was just mean, in my opinion. I wanted to hug the poor guy.

A quick puff of a read, pretty solid sports romance based on unrequited love... Though it must be mentioned, the sibling thing is weird. And it's convenient they didn't get along and all...

But the drama in the latter half was too convenient for my taste. 2.75, just cause I knocked a bit off for the drama that suffocated the second half
