Over the course of millennia, animals that face a requirement to exercise cohabitation with others within the perimeters of a territory have learned several tricks to settle dominance with the least quantity of loss, handling conflict in their own ways.
The neurochemistry of a lobster that wins is different from that of a lobster that loses and the levels of serotonin and octopamine makes a difference in this context.
The principle of unequal distribution accentuates when a lobster that lost earlier recollects its courage and battles again, the probability of it losing again is high.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Be truthful for sure it saves so much trouble and misunderstanding down the line. Truth hurts in the short term but will either get rid of the wrong people in your life and bring in the right people and strengthen your relationship with them.
And treat yourself how you would treat your friend family member you are trying to help and invest or a partner.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5A bit of a disappointment, purely because it is a brief summary.
I don't think Jordan Peterson is easily summarised in this way, I don't think his arguments are so persuasive if you miss out so many steps in them.
To be honest this review is also a reflection on Scribd. This was the first book I tried to read, I was disappointed they did not seem to have the full audiobook.1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Context: I've already read to full book before.
The summary was pretty concise and provided all the major points that were major themes in the book. It serves as a good reminder of the book I read and also a good summary for those who are deciding whether to buy the full book or not. The full book has the researches and more convincing reasons given by Jordan Peterson. But basically the summary already provide the points. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Read by dead robot voice that manages to make interesting topics impossible to engage with
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’ve read the book and I keep coming back to the summary to recap. Love this summary. So clear and concise.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great I love the content. It's free tho and I love it
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I think they missed a lot of points with this summary, you'd be better off reading the actual book.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not coherent. The chapter heading and the content that follows makes one wonder what is the connection between them.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Jordan Peterson deserves a more engaging reader/ delivery. The irony here is painful. The stars are for JP.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I enjoyed this book. Good to learn how to fight with chaos.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5cheap ripoff in hopes of leeching off of jordans' fame. not sure this is allowed copyright wise?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Pin point information for individuals with less time. Charmish and Insightful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great bite-size summary that provides the general ideas of the 12 rules, while maintaining the eagerness to still read the full book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great audio book with good and simple points to help avoiding chaos.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Good author and discussion.
As a former student in Psychology it would have been great to have him as a teacher. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a very interesting book / audiobook! The summary provided us with the most important contents of the book
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a good article summer of the book that did not make me feel like I was missing anything by not having read the source material, but does inspire me to read the original. My only complaint is that the author read very slowly, so I was tempted to increase the speed.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The summary was good because I now know not to buy the book. The summary had a few disconnects, making parts illogical. For example the part about someone dying at 40 reads as though that were a good thing. Also the part about women being dominant over men wasn’t founded—probably the book itself is not worth reading.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great summary. It made me want to purchase the book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's a good book, need to have. Thank you, Goodbye
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Clear and easy to follow! Thank you fir your work!
