About this audiobook

Fake love, real sparks.

When Celeste Lamontagne receives a wedding invitation from her ex, she's furious. The only thing worse than being cheated on? Seeing your ex and the girl she cheated with get married. Less than a year later. And as part of a two-week long Mediterranean cruise. But they say the best revenge is a life well lived, right? Not for Celeste, it isn't. It's arranging an elaborate fake relationship with someone to make your ex jealous.

Lane Bishop is the perfect someone to do just that. Impulsive to the extreme, she loses her job right in front of Celeste. There goes Lane's best shot at becoming a stylist in New York City. She can have another chance if she agrees to travel with Celeste, pretending to be her girlfriend so that Celeste's ex sees her happy and thriving. The only catch? Celeste's an heiress accustomed to getting everything she wants. She's rigorous about details-some might say spoiled-which clashes with a free spirit like Lane.

The sparks between Celeste and Lane become harder and harder to ignore. Can they convince the wedding guests of their passion without the flames setting them both alight?

Contains mature themes.

The narrators voice took some of the enjoyment away... did not like the voice of Lane at all, however given the easy-breasy story, it can still be listened to

The startwas pretty good, light and funny but the development of the romance is pretty forced to me.

The story was excellent, with great character development, likable characters, and a fun premise. There was also room for growth in both characters so more so one than the other. I think I would have liked reading this book better as an ebook than as an audiobook. My reasoning for that is that the narrators chosen, while they did a fantastic job, were not the correct choices for this book in my opinion. Both of them have more mature voices that would be realistic for somebody who was 35 or older, (my age). But they were not believable as 24/25-year-olds, the voices and inflections were just too mature. No 25-year-old sounds like that, and it really pulled me out of the story a lot, because I spent a lot of time reimagining it in different voices. This is not meant as a criticism for the narrators because I've really enjoyed both of them in other work they've done. But it is a criticism for tantor or whoever picks the narrators for the books.

Nice romantic story. One narrator was better than the other.

The book sound like it could have been good but I had to stop listening to it. I couldn't get past the narrator's voice sounded like a grandmother. If the narrator changes in this book I'll be willing to listen to it. Sorry, but I have to be truthful not meant to hurt anyone's feelings.
