      This is a short audiobook on becoming a successful stand-up comedian. The only funny thing about it; is the title: "ultimate". It definitely is "not" the "ultimate" guide; bare bones guide would have been a better description. However, many people don't have a lot of time to read a book on doing stand-up comedy (it is only 33 minutes! What do you have to lose?), so I think this could help someone if they wanted to get an outline of what is required and the price you have to pay (no food).

      I didn't read this book to become a stand-up comic and laugh myself to death! I read this book to learn the craft of being more funny. Some notes (or lack thereof) I wrote down:

      ● Your everyday routine can be your best material.
      ● The more you practice the more you get better with your routine.
      ● Practicing will be the only way to get your stand up routine the way it should be.
      ● Make videos of your performances (this applies to public speaking too!).
      ● Don't steal other people's material.
      ● Write some jokes on things that you know about or some observations that you have seen.
      ● Convert your material into a conversation.
      ● Look at the crowd when you are performing.
      ● Don't laugh at your own jokes.
      ● Don't overdue a joke; perform it within the appropriate time frame. It can go old and stale if you
      keep going on with it.

      My God that sencassional audio book, he definitely teaches too much I just listened to him and I confess that I learned a lot from him, I will start listening again to address the topics I missed, this audio book really teaches a lot it was an investment that was a lot now I have to take courage and take Stand Up as my true profession.

      I have always been passionate about theater, and in the search for learning I came across this book that is not specifically about theater but is equally useful, since it teaches about stage management, something that is elementary for an actor, it also has content very useful in various subjects, it is really worth spending some time on this book, I particularly recommend it.
