About this audiobook

Readers' Favorite Book Award winner Becky Monson presents the conclusion to her hit chick lit romance Spinster series. Julia Dorning's got way too much on her plate. Can she juggle it all without having a nervous breakdown?

Julia Dorning is about to lose it. Between her over-the-top wedding that her sister, Anna, took upon herself to create, and the under-staffed popular bakery that she runs, she can barely find time to breathe.

All Julia ever wanted was a quaint wedding on the beach with family and friends. But now Julia has to contend with not only her sister's plans, but those of her future mother-in-law, as well. Not wanting to step on anyone's toes, especially her mother-in-law's, Julia just goes along with it.

She can only take so much, though, and when her newest employee, Kate, makes things harder at the bakery, Julia has to find a way to simplify her life.

Can she do it or will she end up a basket case? Find out how she does it in this hilarious conclusion to the Spinster series.

This was mostly a fun read- very much a chick lit novel!Julia is 34, and engaged and about to be married to the man of her dreams... and nonetheless, her life is falling apart. Mostly, at age 34, she has not yet learned to say NO to anyone's expectations. This is especially true for her sister, who both wants to plan Julia's wedding as a test for her prospective wedding planner career- AND considers this to be a HUGE favor she is doing for Julia, who herself wants none of it. Julia really needed to make it clear who was doing a favor for whom- and it wasn't Anna for her! And- with nna being such a control freak- I do not see why she was unwilling to make any decisions on her own when Julia just couldn't care.Similarly, Julia's future MiL has decided opinions about Julia's wedding, which Julia feels required to meet. Not to mention her fiance being more keen to expand her business than she feels comfortable with, and her reluctance to tell him no.I guess that, while I can understand why she made the choices she did- it ended up making the book mostly about a protagonist who has failed to develop a spine. This was frustrating, since the plot and characters were well-done. I just couldn't like Julia much during most of the novel. I sympathized, but didn't enjoy her voice. It did end better than it began!
